    A/C problem

No... The issue is you'll get black death (i.e. compressor death that screws over the rest of the system quite badly) But if you do it wrong you don't have a warranty, and you're left with even more cost...

    Two questions

Definately looks like the hose for the IAC... Some genious probably couldn't get it to idle right and just messed with the set screw on the throttle body and plugged it off. That other hose, yep, dealer item...

Drift Style Graphics, - Wrapped Mk3

Way to add like 50lbs worth of stickers

Drift Style Graphics, - Wrapped Mk3

It's only a wrap, doesn't ruin the car  Now drifting into walls is another story...

    poly subframe bushings kit

Only some of ES's black bushings have graphite in them. There is another company that does that to all their stuff, but I can't remember their name (and they don't make parts for our cars).

Ultra High Performance Summer or All Season? Kumho Ecsta SPT and ASX vs others

In your case, the SPT's will be fine  Only time I had issues was when boost came on int he winter (stupid car LOVES cold temps and with the mods it has very little lag...)

    Factory Piston Coating?

I can say that my pistons didn't look like that though in the two motors I've had apart (89 and I think 87). Really interesting though.

Stupid Question: Would a Throttle Spacer make any difference on a turbo engine?

Well, I know they work for carbs, but I really don't see them doing jack on a modern car (except adding weight to the car and less weight from your wallet...)

Guess I should get to work making more :)

In other cars/politics news... Toyota exporting many models from the US.

The dollar is weak, and I bet there's some import/export tax issues there too.

    1996 Volkswagen Polo 1.4

I'll just leave this here... http://exomotive.com/exocet/ Also, yeah, no reason to sell a car you got for literally nothing. Hell, even if it falls apart it's worth something in scrap metal

    jza70 rhd swap in a ma70?

Complete rebuild of the unibody... Not worth it. Some cars it's easy as they share the same firewall for RHD and LHD, but not our car...

Rear suspension noise + jumps/skips over bumps

The metal insert is usually not bonded to the bushing on the lower shock mount. But it's not hard to just put a jack under the knuckle and compress the suspension (tend to do it anyway to tighten to upper mounts).

Starting issues on an 86 MK3

Need more detail about what happens when you go to start it. Could be as simple as the contacts in the starter (which isn't uncommon).

    2ur-fse

Really really doubt it's the same price... LS1 crate motor will quite easily make 400HP, and dollar for dollar is far cheaper to buy new, and the aftermarket support is huge. Sure, it might have already been done before, but that just means the hard work has already been done. It's just like...

Ultra High Performance Summer or All Season? Kumho Ecsta SPT and ASX vs others

Yeah, don't think it's really a bad thing. Many people refure to all-seasons as no-seasons as they make huge compromises to try and meet all demands (and they're still basicly worthless in the winter). Just the nature of the beast when it comes to rubber...

    poly subframe bushings kit

The main advantage of poly for the rack bushings is the fact they're not affected by oil and grease. Get a car with an oil leak (in other words, all of them if they're this old and bought secondhand) and the bushings are just falling apart usually.

    Factory Piston Coating?

Weird, I was ready to say it was just discoloration, but there's a definate line there...
