As far as the engine, I'd be more concerned about the harness than the engine itself. Unless you really want the hydro fan, I wouldn't spend a bunch of time getting the whole motor changed just for that. The electronics are what you should be really worried about. There's a few differences...
Pretty sure Soarer is rear sump as well.
The way I remember it is, 2 door cars = rear sump. 4 door cars = front sump
supra, Soarer = rear sump
Mark II, chaser, cresta, aristo = front sump.

Ratcheting wrenches will be too big for some of the nuts and bolts but use them where you can and you will be glad you did. If you can't fit them, just use the open end.
