    Can't see the pictures, but unless you've got a device showing your A/F's or something similar, I'd be leery of tuning by feel, definitely get a safe dyno tune done, the last thing anyone wants is a dead motor due to a melted piston or similar.

    You should hook up and external mechanical oil gauge and read the pressure according to TSRM spec when the oil is at operating temps to make sure you are ok. It has been discussed here just this last week, so that thread shouldn't be hard for you to find quickly with a little thought on word...

    Any old engine that you buy to put in a car, be it JDM or USDM, should be inspected closely and replace/repair any worn parts on it, that should be a given. You can have a bad apple with a 1JZ just like you can with a JDM 7M. Just because the engine may have a reputation of being "tougher"...
