nope, you should have to push the clutch in to start the car as far as I know!

Ya my car has a resonator installed halfway through the exhaust, I might end up taking that out aswell... or I might not, depending on how loud it is... I'm just lookin for a nice deep tone at the low end... I will record how it sounds and put up a vid for you guys when I get it installed!

I paid $3300 for my grey on grey 88 supra non turbo w/ LSD with 180,000km on it... body is almost perfect (ding on the door, paint fading on the hood)... interior was dirty but in great shape... I thought it was a good deal... ended up having to put around $5k into the car fixing stuff.... ya...

you could try and find a turbo front clip... that would be pretty much everything you need.. or a turbo parts car... you could always use the extra interior pieces and replacement parts if something breaks!

Well, after taking my car to the shop that did the head gasket (after it started making that aweful knocking sound that would come and go, that developed AFTER the HG job)... It turns out the crank pully was a little loose, and the anti-vibration thing was pooched, so it was wobbling, it shook...

Ya, are you sure you don't have one? Just because you dont have the sport package doesnt mean you dont have an lsd. I have the headlight washers and an lsd, but no tems or targa top, so no sport package. I love my LSD :biglaugh:

HAH... $2000 in 4 months insnt a money pit... $7,500 in ONE with a new knocking sound is a money pit.

ya if I had rod knock, I probably would have swapped the motor... I checked the ps fluid ealier and it seemed like it was full, kind of hard to tell tho, I will look again.

Well, I made a small break through today.. took my car for a test drive after I fired it up trying to locate the sound it was making before.. it wasnt making it. so, I took it for a drive and on my way back home I went to turn my wheel to turn onto my street and there was that lovely...

Thanks for the link from before, it was very helpful, I have read it through several times and am ready to go out and track down the sound. I was just curious since your reply said that if the noise stops it isnt rod knock, which isn't what it said in the link you posted... just trying to get it...
