"fair" prices for engine/trans swaps etc...

^maybe I'm too nice about it then? BTW, i would be willing to say that in the past 5-6 years i have done well over 20+ engine swaps EASY, and maybe... 10 trans swaps, not all Supras (probably 80% or better). And have yet to have a serious problem (engine falling out, or what have you...

"fair" prices for engine/trans swaps etc...

^ I thought you were from WI? But that's exactly what I mean... "If you lived closer"... ugh. Damn the mid-west. But as far as the swap goes, I'd be interested. As bad as this sounds, I'd always be willing to do a swap when someone else is footing the bill. :naughty:

"fair" prices for engine/trans swaps etc...

I'm not really looking into making it into a business, yet... It's mostly for spending/Supra money (my last paycheck from the hospital was around $55 for 2 weeks (full time student as well))... So I'm not really... I don't even know how to say it... It's not something that I need to turn a...

"fair" prices for engine/trans swaps etc...

Recently I've been doing quite a few engine swaps in cars, and pretty much have it down to a science. Basically, I'm just curious what i should be charging... Whats fair to me AND the "customer"? The last two that i have done, as far as engine/trans go, was $200 trans swap *auto trans...

Man I should have dyno'd... the car pulls sooo friggin hard in 3rd gear from like 60-95 (only went to about 5900, which is well past the point when they normally fall on their faces) ... :nono: Then I seen a video on Streetfire of an SRT4 on a dyno and the strap breaking and remember what...

So next meet... Little more organized, and I say we meet somewhere and just hang out, have a cookout and hit up a "local" dragstrip... I'd be willing to host a meet here at my place... we have a huge open field out behind our house to park in, a 2 bay garage if anyone needed it (if you...

Got tired of waiting/trying to find the place. Had things to do other than stand around waiting forever for them to get a car strapped down correctly. The strap over the exhaust was the last straw for me, if whoever was strapping the car down was that lax on a 30 hp car or so, imagine how...

I have GREAT news... You'll get it when you hear me pull up Nah, I'm leaving the 4th best place to work in Indiana around 10, so I guess I'll be early? Gotta find me a carwash somewhere because the thing is filthy, and it's sitting under trees as we speak so it wont be any better by 10...

bah... too much is going wrong. I'm about 2 seconds from drop kicking something through something else. I'm out as far as my mkII is concerned. I may still be attending, but I sincerely doubt the 82 will be coming either way. I'll know by 2morrow around 2-ish whether or not I will be...

Ha... fans are still whack, got them turned all the way down and they STILL hardly come on. I got the probe as close to the neck as I can get it w/o drilling it out or something like that. Ugh, I'll be happy when I get this POS all sorted out. On a good note, my window switches are all F'd...

Well, I got my rad hose, filled it up w/ water, no leaks... only prob is that I can't get the damn fans to stay on longer than.... 10 seconds or so. I'ts hotter than HELL on top of the rad, but with the fans going it's back to cool about 3" down from the top (like 18" to the bottom I believe)...

Simple questions for a na - 7mgte swap

^ If you fabricate some longer studs onto the squares and use the mount on the engine made for the round ones, it'll give you enough room in the back to get to just about anything you would ever need to change (those little hoses in the back, starter bolts, trans bolts, and what not) and will...
