I believe you can do partial throttle tuning. I recall Drewgo talking about tuning his AFC for partial throttle in his dyno thread.

It's not hurting anything and is alot safer than driving around on old 370s. I guess we should all drive bone stock cars. You know, since that's the way it came from Toyota and they did it for a reason.
