hmm i thought flushing would be having the engine running and with the drain plug removed and the car way up on ramps. then putting new fluid in untill it came out the bottom.
should i just drive it a bit then keep doing the same again then? once ive drained and refilled a few times the fluid...
remove your plugs and check one of them hasnt been steam cleaned incase you have a bhg. also pressure test the cylinders.
perhaps where you have leaking cam covers you could have a lot of oil in the plug wells. This would cause a miss fire aswell
and keep a weekly check on fluid levels to...
i just drained off what was in the sump and measured how much i got out, which was 2 litres (uk measurements) and put the same back in.
I guess it should have a full flush out after seeing what was removed. Ill check out the phone book for local auto transmition places.
my pas fluid looks...
I changed the fluid in my auto box today. When i drained the old fluid out i got 2 litres of fluid out. Does this sound about normal?
heres a pic of the old fluid
also once i had drained it into the pop bottle i noticed this in the bottom of my jug
could that be the clutch...
I have just done a service on my supra today and i used a gallon of general motors 10/40 semi synthetic. it came highly recomended by a mate who owns a car parts shop. anyone used this sort of stuff before?
the fix with pliers and a cloth works an absolute treat. mine made ridiculous amounts of wind noise until i found out about that trick. cured it in less than 5 minutes
i dont really have a huge problem with the seat belts on my car. altough they do retract a tad too slow for my likeing.
My transit van however is another matter. the passenger side belt keeps fouling the door and causing annoying issues so if theres any usefull advice i can adapt ill be most...
think virtually the whole car has been compromised by the elements lol courtesy of living next to the north sea for 20 years. Ill jack her up and have a good play about. Its due an oil change auto box fluid change plus a few other things so its a good excuse i guess
hmmm i also have an anoying creaking sound occasionally when the front suspention flexes (mainly when coming to a stop) so i guess ill have the front end up in the air and have a good pry about with a pry bar and see what i come up with.
i saw a car i recognised from a local meet reecently. turns out the guy i knew had sold it on to this 18 yr old kid who strugled to string a sentence together. I thought ahh well ill have a chat with him as his was na mine is also na and there bothe white with leather interiors. think what i...
when i have my car on full lock and turning either forwards or in reverse the car almost seems to clunk and jerk forwards or backwards depending on which direction im heading. I doubt this is to do with the lock stop bushes though they probably need looking at. does this sound like knackered...
theres a fuel pump mod you could try, something to do with 9 volt and 12 volt switching or something but you would need to search for the relevant threads. also if you still have the stock alarm dissconect it completely as i had a simmilar fault and it was dirty relays inside the alarm unit
in the uk i can get 80 miles to around about 22 litres of unleaded. not the super unleaded stuff though. thats like over £1 per litre now
but im not too sure on this, are american litres different from uk litres? the same as a us and uk gallon are different
sounds like starter to me but first clean all your grounds just incase theres an earthing problem. Also check out the uk site for the starter relay mod
