ATPturbo has some downpipe parts. I'm using there 90 degree V-band elbow that clamps on to the rest of my custom downpipe. It's almost a perfect fit with the way my HKS long runner manifold places the turbo.
/\Yeah, I used that battery for a while when I lived in a condo (with no where to plug in a tender). In the winter I had to start the car every day to keep it charged.
Just so you know, I have been extremely impressed with my Odyssey 680 battery. I've had it for about 3 years or so and let it go completly dead at least 15 times. It just keeps charging right back up. Any small battery will not have much CCA. With the odyssey 680, you need to keep a battery...

This is the same place I got my oddysey battery. Looks like the Miata battery is about 15 pounds lighter than a regular battery.
Yeah I just about have everything all wired up exept the Map signal wire and the wideband output.
Which brings me to this question: When you hook up the 0-5 volt output from the wideband to the harness (at 6B), are you supposed to cut that wire at the harness... I;m guessing that wire goes out...
OK, I see. Your saying remove the air flow meter wire from its connector location(2B) and relocate it to 17a so it will plug into the AEM at that point. Then hook the MAP signal wire from the map sensor to that same wire where it plugs into the airflow meter.
I just looked on the chart.
16A-1989-1992 MK111 AEM Name I/O Availability
EGR temp LS#2 Output Avail, switched ground, 1.5A max
Does that sound familiar?
/\ Got that covered.
But there is still no wire for 17A. And according to the chart, there is not supposed to be one. Just wondering how you are supposed to connect the green signal wire to 17A without anything to connect it to?
Ok I think I got most figured out except the green signal wire.
Map sensor: Red-1B
Black-9B or 4C
Greed- 17A (dedicated). The problem is that there is no wire going into the connector at this location. How did you guys wire it up with no wire comming out of...
Does anyone have any information on how to wire up the AEM 3.5 map sensor and the AIT sensor. I did some searching and couldn't find anything about which wire goes where. The AIT sensor has 2 black wires and the Map sensor has a red, green and black wire. Any info is appreciated. I'm trying to...
I could have bought an MK4 6 years ago for nearly the same price as what people are asking today. I love the MK4's (not the looks), but the pricing in not realistic at all for such an old car now. IMO you really have to be in love with the SUPRA name to pay $25k plus for an 11+ year old car...
From my expierence, a resonantor will smooth out the sound and make it slightly quieter. But if you really want to get rid of the drone, you will have to get a big muffler. You will likely keep the drone as long as you have the little can type muffler.
I've been waiting for X-man to come out with a beast. Nice job Sean. It's not only impressive that your doing this with a stock bottom end, but also a bone stock head and cams. It just goes to show that the recipe for big power is the same for a 7M and 2JZ: Lots of turbo and lots of boost...
Which nipple do you have your vacuum line hooked up to? You should be able to run a vacuum line straight from the turbo compressor to the side port of the wastegate. That should give you the boost straigh off the wastegate spring.
Just an update on my BC cams. I installed the new BC264 cams over the weekend and guess what? My car actually idles now at 0,0 cam setting. Thank god.. The idle quality is not that great, but before it would not idle at all at 0 0. I'm going to take out a little overlap to see if I can get...
