GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

"Thanks for your reply!" Easy buddy. It seems like I go through a new computer every 3 months and lose everything. Let me wash my car and I will get some new pics. AS for the pump, it's just a single Walbro. I jacked up the fuel pressure when I first got my 264 cams trying to get them...

GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

I love this tech talk. My base fuel pressure is at 41psi. That is with the vacuum connected to the fuel pressure regulator. Also, I'm reving out to about 6900rpm's on the dyno. AFR's were mid 11's and higher with some lean spots we could not get rid of. We then realized I was running low on...

GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

Yeah at just under 500rwhp, there is no way I should be maxing out 680cc injectors. Unless somehow the sequential setup is using them up.

GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

Hey Sean, I might take you up on that. I figure it would take me 3.5 hours from my house to your area.

GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

My biggest problem now is that my 680cc injectors are running around 90% duty cycle for some reason . I'm not sure if it's because I'm running sequential injection, because theoretically 680's should be plenty at this power level. Until I figure this out, I won't be able to do a race gas...

GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

The guy who tuned (Sal) has done a lot of AEM tuning on Hondas and Mitsubishi's, and a couple of 2JZ's. THis was his first 7M. As for the correction factor. I asked Sal and the dyno owner several times how really low this dyno reads and they kept saying they have seen other cars in my power...

GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

Thanks. I will post a sheet and possibly a video when I redyno on a dynojet. The gragh is not layed out like it should be making it hard to see the RPM's and power. Not to mention they were 3rd gear pulls making it look a little laggier than it would be on a higher load.

GT35+AEM+264's = Good pump gas Dyno

Dynoed on thursday on the local hearbreaker mustang dyno. Before I get to the numbers, this dyno reads 14-16% lower than a dynojet. Final numbers: 431rwhp 401rwt. If you do the math, that's about 495rwhp on a dynojet. This was on 93 octane with 17.5psi and 15 degrees of timing. Plenty...

    Standalone's and FFI's do make a difference

Great numbers. Love the 468rwhp at 16psi. Could you run any more boost or make any more power on pump gas?

    F&H Performance Dyno

Nice.. Sounds really good too. Got a love it when people get serious with MK3's. Especially 7M powered ones.

    Losing Interest

I think many of us feel this way sometimes, especially when there is down time. I bought a 05 GTO a couple of years ago and I'm glad I never sold the supra. The GTO was great but I still liked the supra too much to sell. Insteaad I sold the GTO which was still worth a lot of money. I'm actually...

    Power VS MPGs

Turbo cars, especially heavy turbo cars will such gas with the best of them if driven aggressively. Like most everyone has talked about, with a stock ECU in closed loop, it will not matter how much power your will make since the ECU is always leaning out the fuel. However, you start putting...

    6m v.s. 7m crank

Ive' run both the 6M and 7M cranks in my supra too. Just like IJ said, the 7M revs a little smoother, but the 6M feels like it spins up a slightly quicker. Too me it's not even worth worrying about. Whatever crank is available is the one I would use. BTW, the most difference in engine...

    Light Weight Vs. Stock flywheels

I had a fidanza flywheel for a while, until it welded to the clutch disc during a burnout. car did feel slightly lighter it's feet with the lightweight flywheel, but there was also more chatter when engauging the clutch. It's a no-brainer for me. Reliability is most important, and the stock...

    AEM Tuning.

Just an update on my light load/low rpm misfire issues. I had X-man give me some helpful info. It seems that my issues are very common on some 7m's with AEM. I adjusted my crank and cam sensitivity and it definantly helped, although not completly yet.

    BC 272 7m results?

I don't have the 272 cams, but I'm going to be dynoing with my BC264's within the next couple of weeks. I can tell you the topend pull is huge while scarificing a bit of low end. So I would think the 272's would be similar. And I can't imagine anyone having to keep the stock redline with those cams.

    Base tune/dyno for my 92

"Easy fix. Put in the C16, turn up the boost. That turbo is a dog until you get to mid 20s. There's most likely nothing wrong with the car. " I was about to say the same thing. A T66 is not going to make much more power that a T61 on pump gas on our 3.0 motors. A turbo like that doesn't...

Finally some decent 1/4 mile times

Nice times.. But what's up with the low MPH. With 420rwhp you should be seeing 115+. Were you letting out before the finish line? Maybe the MPH calculator at the track was off. 12.57 at 107mph is kind of weird for a supra.

    AEM Tuning.

I'm in the middle of having an experienced tuner tune my AEM. He has tried so many things and can't get rid of the misfire symtems at light throttle. It's happening anywhere from idle to about 3k RPM, but goes away when you give it more gas. It looks like this was covered on the AEM forum a...
