its a bypass tube i believe. i bought new 2jz O-rings never had trouble. if you are trying to use generic O rings they will not work... at least the way they should. they are more round and less flat like the toyota o rings. never had leaks from there whatsoever once i installed new orings.

so you have a BHG and still drive the car? you haven't fixed it yet? if so that is your problem... loss of compression in the engine will hamper power.

check oil for coolant? sometimes can only take two times to overheat to ruin a head but thats just one idea.. how much power are you running?
