I've never seen something electrical get shorted out just because you got a little water on it. Of course that doesn't mean it doesn't happen... but I've taken high powered pressure washers to engine bays and the worste I've gotten was a few bad spark plugs.
Get good sealing boots and you...
Hacks rool
Just run open DP! That's what I'd do. Then worry about your exhaust later, or never, whatever.
*edit*
Oh, this is NA, lol
Flex pipe would still work fine, IMO. No1 will see under there anyway. *So no1 will know if you don't tell them* :icon_bigg
Man it sounds like you could do some pretty awesome stuff like that, too bad I don't have a good camera.
Oh, and to the whoever ownst he Silver Supra, that thing looks awesome. Makes me want to get mine running!
Change the plugs... it's only $10 or so anyway.
You probably have water all down in the plug holes so the cylsa ren't getting spark. Just pull the plug boots off, stick a rag down in the holes with the plugs still in dry as much as you can and then take the plug out. Wat little water that...
^ Like anyone from SM is worried about longevity... :biglaugh:
I remember the good old days of 3" exhaust, a good DP, and making it backfire when people were walking really close to the street and watching them jump... Damn I need to get my mkIII going.
Nah, just get a flashlight, lay the driver's seat down all the way, put your feet up on the headrest, and try to slip in between the seat and the steering wheel, make sure your arms are above your head before you get in there because you probably wont be able to get them up there afterwards...
I've got nothin but love for the SeaFoam. Got my RK sounding Briggs back to tip-top shape. :icon_bigg
I think it was seafoam anyway... I know dad used it on his BHG Ford Windstar
I would just say fil it up with water before you left, and provided the drive wasn't too long you should be fine.
Fill the resevoir up as well. :icon_bigg
I hope you weren't putting nice cold water in if the engine was up near the red....
I always like taking the hoses off back by the heater control thing and just letting the hose completely fill them (until water starts spraying out of the front of the engine) then taking the other hose off...
If its coming from the fanshroud itself, it may be coming from somewhere different...
Maybe the seal on the radiator drain plug is bad? Try replacing it.
Maybe it's your top coolant hose leaking down between the shroud and the radiator? Try checking that
Maybe it's coming from your water...
