Haha, I feel your pain. But you'll be much better at it if you're forced to do it again! In the end modifying the wastegate placement will be much better, and everything will be done right, instead of extending the DP to make up for bad wastegate placement and having to worry about melting...

I would modify the manifold and wastegate before messing with the DP. moving the DP further back would probably place it way too close to your firewall, and likely touch your speedometer cable causing it to melt and break.

Can you post up some pics? Are you asking if it is okay to have your wastegate dump like right back onto your exhaust manifold? I had my wastegate dump back down onto the downpipe/firewall area for a couple weeks while I found a dump tube and had the fitting welded and I didn't have a problem...

I have experience with the fuel one... bad wiring causing injectors to stick open. Luckily it happened while the car was sitting so I found out by cranking the car with a weak battery. Just freed everything up, drained the oil, replaced the filter, fixed the injector problem, and I was good to go.

I got 14-15mpg on my last tank, barely any boosting. AFR's at cruise are decent enough but I can't seem to get decel fuel cut to where it is supposed to be, and it just isn't running smooth enough to where I feel the car is being efficient.

Looking like a great list there, only thing I don't think is completely covered is fuel. Is your 2j coming with 550cc or 440cc injectors? You're going to be able to max out the 550cc injectors and one walbro pump with a 2j and a 66mm turbo. I'm doing it now on a 1j with a 61mm on pump gas :)

sounds like the needle is on crooked? if it gets to a certain part of its oscillation then it is touching the tach face and will tend to stick. I would take the cluster out real quick and verify that instead of messing with all the electronics.
