Could also be your Tierod ends. Im not sure I understand what your decribing but my steering poped a little when turning big due to the tierod ends.

Indeed, you need everything to sit flush and they need to mill the timing cover so it doesn't stick up higher than your block.

does any MAFT work or do you need to buy the $200 one from the website provided? I know they make them and have all kinds of wires blah blah blah but if you need to splic the damn things anyways cant you grab anyone of the MAFT units?
