The answer to my 3 months long oil issue...

Unbelievable! I've never seen a head leak like that before. I'd defiantly be showing those pics (or bring the head up there to show them that), and I'd be getting my money back from them. If they want to fight you about the money, then you can always settle it in small claims court.

Is German Castrol really going the way of the dinosaur?

This thread should give you some of the answers that you're looking for. (Post #8 talks about some of the benefits of Red Line, but you'll learn more if you spend some time reading this section of the forums).

Is German Castrol really going the way of the dinosaur?

*sigh* Here's your link. That crap you found at China-Mart is comprised of a Group III base stock. That is NOT the highly sought after German Castrol. (In answer to another question you posted, we call it German Castrol, as it's made in Germany). Also, not everybody lives in warmer...

    Cooleeze?

When you push in the clutch to change gears, the cruise disengages. Once you're back in 5th and cruising, just hit the "resume" button; and the cruise automatically resumes the car to the same speed that you originally set the cruise at. In my cars, I use the cruise on a daily basis. Of...

    blue hud search

If you do a search for "Defi HUD", you'll find that they make their HUD system in blue. Be prepared, it's not cheap. Here's a Youtube link with a few of them in action.

What is this? 87 Supra hatch pass side

That's for the antenna that's built into the rear glass. (The lower lines at the bottom of the glass that look a bit different than the rest of the lines, is the AM antenna).

    Oil reading help!!

Quite a few people on here (jdub "the oil expert" included) run 1 quart over full. It's the best way to ensure that the pick up tube to the oil pump is always submerged in oil; especially during hard cornering or hard braking. By the way, running 1 quart over will not be having your crank...

Getting a ticket going to church.

Some sins just NEED to be forgiven.... :) Back in my younger years, I had a horrible driving record. After losing my license a few times, I learned that speeding and driving like an ass just wasn't worth it. Today, my driving record is spotless. On the rare occasion that I do get pulled...

    Cooleeze?

Why doesn't having cruise control on a vehicle with a stick make sense? (You must not do a lot of highway driving). No matter what transmission you have, the cruise control would work the same: hit the highway, get to the speed you want to hold, set the cruise, then relax and enjoy the trip...

    Ignition Tumbler Removal??

In the past, I've had new keys made at a dealer before. I just brought in a copy of my title (to verify ownership and provide vehicle information), and they were able to cut a new key using the VIN number. It only cost about $10 for the key, which I'm sure was a lot cheaper than going to a...

    HKS intake

Well, I found some lab results for the AEM DryFlow. Test 1 - Dry. Test 2 - Cleaned. I'd still like to find some test results of some head to head testing between the AEM DryFlow and the Apexi....

    Will timing affect horse power?

Follow the steps. IJ was trying to help you fix the timing in the correct order. Instead, you jumped ahead to step (x) and couldn't get it right as you never followed the steps ahead of it. Since you couldn't get step (x) right, you used a band aid "fix" so that you could set the timing. If...

    HKS intake

Another problem I've seen with HKS filters, is that over time they can degrade and get sucked into the turbo. Hopefully that is another issue that they resolved, but I'd still never run one. Back to the AEM and Apexi. Can anyone say if one brand catches more dirt than the other? I've yet...

need help engine harness was cut

Also, if you purchase a used harness, you can't be sure of how good the condition the wiring harness will be in when you receive it. Look at the problem I had with the used harness I traded for. If you do end up getting a different harness, just get a new harness or pay to have your current...

    HKS intake

Anyone know how the AEM DryFlow compares to the Apexi? I'm curious as to which filter catches more dirt without impeding the air flow. I did a Google search to see if there was ever a test performed between the two, but I'm coming up empty.

    HKS intake

I second the Apexi filter! HKS is one of the worst filters. They let a lot of dirt pass through, and the oil from the filter isn't good for the AFM. Check this link to see how HKS, K&N, Blitz, and Apexi filters stack up against each other.

Here's a link to the wiring schematic for the engine harness. That should help you figure out what your cut wires should connect to.

Clutch Fan Was Locked - Need Input

I'm just using the Tacoma clutch. The fan is the stock GTE 10 blade that came off the Supra. Like I said, for $35 shipped it's worth a try. If it doesn't work right, then I can always replace it with an OEM GTE clutch. If it does end up working right, then I just saved myself about $100.

7M-GTE FEELER THREAD ... Accessory Pulley Kits!

$300 wouldn't be bad at all, but not even mentioning a ballpark price, is kind of unsettling.
