GT500's are pretty nice. They run mid 12's on average stock.. But they are so easy to mod too. Getting them to high 600's rwhp is not too hard..
With that said, I would like to see what I could do againt one.. A stock one:)
Can't wait to see what #'s you put out on high boost. The GT35R is an amaising little turbo.. Spools early, and makes 600+rwhp.
I did expect a little bit better MPG on the hyway with the E85. Did you try really leaning it out your fuel for cruising?
This has been covered a million times.. Pay the money for a good clutch if you don't like pulling your tranny out all the time. And multi-disc clutches are not always the answer. There is a good write-up in the MK4 section on Supra forums. I will see if I can find it.
If you want a good intercooler that will actually cool the air intake temps, don't get an ebay intercooler. They will work if your on a budget, but not that well.
I would go with a Precision intercooler with a real garret core. And then have some pipes made.
A Spearico, like I use works very...
I did 511 rwhp on a stock 7M on a stock ECU.
My major mods were: Lexus AFM, 550cc injectors, AFC, HKS FCD, 61mm turbo, HKS Ex manifold, AMS intercooler. I had it up to 24psi using race gas to get to 511rwhp. I started to run lean on the 24psi run. Also my compression was a little low on one...
I've run 13.3 at 106mph. But it took me 113mph to break into the 12's.
For a full wieght supra with a manual trans, I would say 400rwhp will get you there without having to shift like John Force. Either way, make sure you have a good clutch and some drag tires.
Lets see, the last time I told my story (on SupraForums) about the problems I had with my BC264 cams, my post was deleted. Probably by the same username (vender) I see in this thread.
Edit: Not you Rich.
I have about $28000 in my car since 2002. Paid a lot for my 92 with 70k miles.
Any car you plan on seriously modding is going to get expensive (if you do it right and use quality parts), I don't care what car it is or what engine it has in it. So as long as you have the money, don't worry...
