SEM products are probably one of the best for doing seats. I friend of mine in Jersey restored an 85 MKII, and the seats look factory perfect, and he's picky.
I 2nd that. I used the same product on my MKII, and it works well. Just make sure to clean the surface as best as you can for best results.
Another paints that works well is Krylon Fusion for plastics.
I used to be Brian, but it has to take a back burner for now. Someday I'll get back into it again. If you do come up to PA, Duryea and Weatherly Hillclimbs are a must run.
Giants Despair, imo, while it has alot of history behind it, is boring.
I'm out, but....next time I'll be there.
I was in Allentown last Friday at the Fire Departments West End Station working on their new midmount aerial. I saw a black MKIII cruise by. Gave you a thumbs up by the way. Was it someone here on the forum?
This was at 22nd and Turner.
I guess I'll be the oddball. I'm keeping mine mostly stock, right down to the sawblades.
I did do some very minor stuff like changing the climate control to the 88+, and a few other visual things. I do want to drop the front end one of these days.
Crank pulley key was damaged as well as the pulley. Replaced the key and pulley, and no more noise. The crank keyway was slightly damaged, but hopefully not bad enough to cause permanent problems. Time will tell. I mentioned to Andrew to keep an eye on the crank bolt.
