And, there are differences between the truth and an "opinion". What you may percieve as "the truth" may be, in fact, your opinion. Once again, what may be "the truth" to you may not be "the truth" to me because we have different backgrounds and experiences.
No, I don't know that. That...
Apology accepted. Yes, as a matter of fact, I have seen the photo (just one photo) of school buses under water in NO. I just didn't see 2000 of them as Fox kept reporting. In fact, in one of the links I sent, there is another link to the State of Lousiana Dept of Education which shows just...

I think you may have a problem. The 8.25" input shaft on the Isuzu version seems to be longer than the Colorado\Canyon 7.8" version. From what I'm reading, you can't just swap in the 7.5" (7.25"?) R154 version either. It may bottom out on your crank.
Go here for some info...
No need to remove the front cover, just the bellhousing. Measure from the edge of the case (where the bolts go in) to the tip of the input shaft.

PS. How about a Supra Turbo Diesel? Mix one 2005 Jeep Liberty 2.8L Turbo Diesel with one 3.9L Dakota V6 bellhousing and throw in an R154...
Ugh! Sorry to hear this... but... it is educational. Methinks thou should pass the tranny (and bell) onto someone that could'th use it as is. No fair, no foul. Anyway, while you've got it on the floor, what is the EXACT length of the input shaft? Edge of the case to the tip?
Greg
Oooooo..... I hope you haven't bitten off to much on this one. I'm not sure just swapping tailhousing from a 2WD to the 4WD trans will make it ready for use. The output shafts may not be the same lengths. I'm HOPING they are. I'm also HOPING that you can scrounge up a yoke to fit the shaft...
The adapter is for the GM SM420 4WD transmission to be bolted up to a W56 bell. It so happens the SM420 has the standard GM four bolt pattern, same as the T5, Muncie, Saginaw and Tremec TKO. Since it bolts to the W56, it also bolts to the W58.
Get in touch with them. You can't use the...
I've posted this before. There seems to be a LOT of gents growling about losing R154's and W58's. As a possible solution, try the Tremec TKO 500 or TKO 600.
This $215 adapter plate from OTT Industries can be used to bolt the GM pattern Tremec's up to a NA 7M W58 bellhousing...
