you'll be just fine, let your right foot control the boost if you don't like it....... I would definately do the trans mods over in SF, http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267655
I can personally testify that it WILL make your tranny last and if you don't do it your tranny will...
Huh? I don't know what kind of flush you're talking about, the one I mentioned is done with the car running at about 1500 rpm, no way anything is trapped and you can see the old fluid coming into the machine. Isn't any way this was bad for my trans
oil change joints will do it for about $60, make sure they have the machine that actually hooks into the trans lines and totally flushes all the fluid, then come home and change the filter
I've got one and so far so good after a rebuild about 1 1/2 ago with all the good stuff, higher stall, a bf trans cooler, and some mods from sf courtesy of jared, currently running about 400
if you blew in two separate places you've obviously got some surface tolerance or pitting issues or both, prepare it right or do it twice. IMO, even with a stock gasket you're not gonna be good for more than stock boost and crossing your fingers at that. My buddy always says 'do it right, do it...
time to bring out the 'mouse' motor again.........
although a sbc in our cars might be a fun project I think a 2jz/gm trans and $5k is a much better option
lam, could you be the first to try hinging the headlights the other way? to raise in the back instead of the front? there is plenty of room to put whatever beam in you like, I've always thought this would be a good way to do it.
com'n shaeff, I been dying to use this......
sure you'll be able to do that and I know what you're saying but once the head is off what does it take another 2-3 hours to pull the block? then load it in your trunk and probably at the most overnight at the shop, and say $50 for the resurface, then you're good for almost anything reasonable...
take a few extra hours to pull the block and get it resurfaced and go mhg again, you'll be happier in the long run..... also gives you an opportunity to superclean the engine bay an d paint the block, permatex is fine but it is no substitute for doing it right
for the auto follow jared's advice in this thread http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267655
my auto still survives and I'm a bit over 400
oh, and make sure to do it right first time with a mhg preferably hks stopper, more $ but you won't have to do it twice.
this site has a few wild ones reasonably tastefully done.... in looking at your site you might fall into 'reasonably tasteful' outrageous in which case I might retract my previous tounge-in-cheek sarcasm, good luck
