my supra had a kill switch under the dash in line with the igniton. if the chip wasn't in it no start. however they smashed the whole igniton cylinder off the steering column and got around the switch. car was used in a string of break and enters and armed robberies before being t-boned by the cops.
buying a car blind is tough. you take the risk of not gettting EXACTLY what you want. look at rail shipping. i've had cars shipped from ontario to alberta at half the cost of trucking it and i'm sure it would be the same in the states as long as you don't cross any borders.

check the switch. mine was the same way and i just replaced the passenger side one and it worked but only using the new switch. i think i have both if you need them
did you make sure you checked your switches man. toyota told me my motor was toast but just to be sure i bought new switches on here and my windows worked fine after that. make sure to replace them both. when i replaced my passenger switch it worked sometimes and when i replaced the driver...
