The wastegates don't matter, the auto is a fluid coupling, or "slushbox" they do not put as much load on the engine, hence the turbo doesn't work as hard as if the engine was turning a manual tranny.
I did that exact thing myself, I used a big ass SS filter too. Don't use one people, they let too much shit get by and into your AFM and turbo. I'm thinking that's what caused my impeller fins on the turbo to be chipped and bent...
Like I was saying, the engine flexes with stock motor mounts, he has the beefy pre '89 ones too, but the engine will still move around when revved. Being close at the top like Aaron said and the engine moving some may have caused it to do exactly what it did...
Oh it'll help things stay cooler for sure. You did a good job on the fitment, but for some reason I just don't think the louvers look good, the actual vent going in looks great though. Overall, nice job ;).
Powdercoating and ceramic coating are two completely different things. Powdercoating = looks pretty. Ceramic coating = looks pretty, keeps things cool.
I can't see the pics bwest, but I have a pretty good idea of what things look like as I've gotten pretty much every component that bolts onto...
