well you can just unplug your map sensor,
The right way to fix this would be a piggyback, I am pretty sure too that stock boost is around 11-12 psi on a 1jz so it sounds like something is going on there. Maybe check the lines from the compressor housings to the wastegates?(make sure there there...
yeah, I mean the only other thing it really could be would be boost cut if you aren't getting spark cutout, and your pump is obvousily good, You never mentioned what psi your running.
Have you tried turning it down and seeing if you still get the same thing?
still even if you have a 3" your downpipe will be really hot at 6k under boost, probably hot enough to ignite it like tsupra said.
I would pull the plugs and look at them, try to tell if they look like they have soot on them or if they are white from being lean. (probably won't be able to tell...
Think about it though... If he is having spark blowout combustion isn't being completed right... Now think about this if you don't burn all the fuel and OXYGEN in the exhaust then the OXYGEN sensor would read all the left over o2 in the exhaust right? Showing on the wideband a lean condition...
could it be your getting spark cutout?
My reasoning is that if the spark starts cutting out then you will get your wall feeling and because your mifiring and there is extra unburnt 02 in your exhaust it will read lean?
What are your plugs gapped at and what kind do you have
I would double check the wiring and maybe make sure the solenoid has proper ohmage in it, other than that if it was working fine before I don't know what to tell you, unless the painters messed something up?
Do you have fuel pressure after the car has been running? When you turn the key "on" the fuel pump primes the motor to start, It will generally run for a couple secs before it runs out of fuel if the pump doesn't keep going,
If this is what happens then it means for some reason the fp isn't...
I was just screwin with you, but really how much more would hks cams been over the usdm ones after machining them?
And also how much better are hks's performance wise
Basically would it be worth the cost?
In the AEM you do have to set it to read the 3.5 bar map because it uses a different voltage range. But Its really simple because the AEM pro 1.0(software on laptop) Has different map sensor calibrations saved in. you just need to pick the right one. Its explained more in the manual.
you know what, I just called Dr. Tweak this morning and he told me the same thing, I got it in and everything seems fine.
Thanks for the help, if you need any help w/the install let me know.
I am wiring in a AEM 3.5 bar map and need to know which wire from the stock 1jz map sensor is the ground, output, and supply voltage
there is a

Any help would be appreciated
I don't think its called a AEM Stinger, AEM only makes the EMS and a assortment of guages and sensors.
The Stinger is just Called the Stinger EMS. Driftmotion sells them
