it helps more with directing airflow to the engine and its cooling systems (intercooler if turbo as well) instead of just flying all over the place, think of it as a fan that has a tunnel directed to you, feels a lot stronger right? as well as keeping dirt and water from flying up into the...
Hey guys i was wondering if anyone can shine some light in on this problem. alright well the head gasket was replaced a little over a month ago using ALL Fel-Pro gaskets on the engine and made sure the sealing surfaces were flat and nothing was in the way. Recently ive been noticing the coolant...
if youre only lookin for performance and no additional options in the car, you can think about deleting the windshield wiper tank and its hoses, wiper motor and setup, as well as the entire a/c system that should make the enigne bay look cleaner as well as removing a few pounds
saw one online in almost new condition for $50 for the same set you have, im not guaranteeing that its the reasonable price but thats where id start usually
even if u hold it up it will come back down, it needs constant vacuum applied to it, hmm grab a vacuum hose from like your egr or somethin and put it on the heater valve instead so the valve rod goes up, u should have heat by then. i might be in tukwila on saturday if you can make it down there...
can you wrap your hand on one heater hose and last for more than 10 seconds holding? on my car i cant even go 5 seconds without my hand burning hot, but if the hoses are warm they should be at least giving off heat inside the cabin. put the temp to 85 on the climate control and look at the...
hey bro i can give u a few suggestions, first off idle the car for about 15 mins till the temp gauge is about at the middle (at least) and then find the two heater hoses, one on the driver side of the firewall and one is the one that attaches to the heater control valve (make sure the control...
the huge part is the hemholtz(?) resonator, supramania sources and TSRM i believe say that it is a resonator that helps with performance as well as it shouldnt be removed? can anyone chime in on that one.
you would have to modify the speedometer gearing or something to get the speed right, i had 89+ gauges on my 1988 before and the speedometer showed 6-7 mph off
AFAIK the input and output should be spinning freely when u spin it and have u tried shifting into gear while ur slowly rotating the input shaft? sometimes it just does that.
if you use compressed air use pressure below 15 when the gun us pressed because you wouldnt wanna rupture the small lines in the core, and i flushed the heater core with water from my hose gun with the knob on the wall turned halfway you wouldnt wanna have excessive pressure going into the core...
yeah the inlet hose of the heater core is the one on the exhaust side the outlet is the intake manifold side, i backflushed the heater core so i ran water and pressure from the outlet to the inlet (reversed flow) until i got all the crap that was in there and the water was coming out clean..
tried that today and it worked, backflushing took out large residues of crap sealant i put in there months/years ago that collected in the core, thank goodness i have extreme hot heater now that the rainy days and low temperatures are here, only thing i did was i had a gauge at the gun reading...
updates, i took my laser temp reader to both heater hoses, the hose by the water valve reads around 160 degrees and the one by the intake manifold reads around 115 so im guessing i have a clogged heater core, currently i have put some cooling system flush in there to see if it can free out the...
what color are you specifically looking for? I know that a few lexus (es250 or ls400) capsules fit in there with little to no modification to the stock fog housings that can give you the yellow fog look without having to replace the bulb color... now if your just looking for aesthetics maybe you...
