:word8kn:
As few damage as possible, but as much as necessary.
Not sure though if I was that quick-witted in that situation, but then again there aren't too many islamic terrorists attacking people with knives over here :x:
This kinda reminds me of the creation vs. evolution debate, only the opponents swapped positions ;)
Someone is questioning the (more or less) established public opinion and tries to point out weak spots, while others try to defend it.
It's just that I don't remember anyone of the evolutionists...
Don't worry, it's basically the same over here. People don't know where they are located on the world map, don't know the occupation (!) of their head of state (lol!) and so on....
Supracentral: LOL :D
I haven't played video games for ages, let's see what I can remember....
on Amiga 500:
Pinball Fantasies
Shuffle Puck Cafe
North & South
Chuck Rock
on PC:
Need for Speed High Stakes
Mech Warrior 2
Grand Prix 2
Lemmings 1+2
The Incredible Machine
on GameBoy:
Tetris :D
Now...
I'm not a big friend of conspiracy theories myself, but I must admit there are some valid points in what flubyux2 and others said.
Scaring the people into giving up freedoms isn't far-fetched at all IMO.
Not necessarily by the government itself, but also by secret so-called stay-behind...
Reading the comments about perfect things created by god, a nice little part of Douglas Adam's "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" came to my mind:

This book/movie generally contains some very funny, yet fascinating ideas on religion, life, the universe and everything.
Even if you say "Whoever lives in the US should only speak English in public places", would you also apply this to tourists? I wouldn't...
The "lady" can't even have known whether he was living in the US or just visiting for a few days or if he was an exchange student or whatever.
So, because some guys thousands of years ago made god mad at them, millions of their descendants still have to suffer from it in 2006 a.d., even though they're trying their very best to make him pleased?
That's not meant as an offense, just a (probably very common) question... IMO that doesn't...
Depeche Mode & Mike Shinoda - Enjoy the Silence
When I'm in my MKII in during summer, "Like Ice in the Sunshine" by Beagle Music Corp fits quite well (no A/C) :-p
As for 1984, I think you can't deny there is a strong tendency to it.
Not only in the US, but also in the UK and Germany (and probably other countries).
All in the name of the "War on Terrorism".
- The US government demands all flight data of inner-european flights forwarded to them. WTF?
-...
A whole 10 seconds? Wow, I'm feeling flattered ;)
30 minutes? Did you observe my activities in the forum? I'm feeling even more flattered.
You sir made my day.
Oh, and what is C&P...?
edit:
Oh, C&P = copy'n'paste.... never mind.
