The restoration proceeds. Body advice please.

So I got a MK3 about 6 or 7 months ago. In a dreadful state in terms of electrics and body. Though mechanically was excellent. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36785&highlight=count+knobula There was my intro thread. So after much work the car is running well. Starts...

    Engine cut out. Advice please.

The wife's driving it at the moment (short commute, coupla miles) and this morning everything decided to cut out. All that was still working was the stereo. She steered it to the side (with no power steering of course), parked it and started up again. All fine and dandy and off she went...

    Driveshaft part. Seems overpriced.

So the long road to getting my supra ship shape (before the aesthetics anyway) rumbles on. My mechanic (friend) and I have traced some troublesome vibration to the "driveshaft support". Toyota want around $200 for a new one. My mechanic says it's way too much and they usually go for way...

Front bumper for my car. (sorry if wrong board)

Since this isn't really technical, I guess I'm having trouble deciding where to post this. Anyway. I'm a newbie to bodywork, but my 89 turbo has a messed up front bumper. The previous owner CUT OUT the grill near the bottom and it's kinda sagged at the bottom. An OEM replacement is $305...

    A/C Compressor Not Engaging

When trying to use my AC the compressor does not engage. When it's bypassed we can get it to work and it has more than enough freon in it. Basically it's not getting the signal. Any ideas?

    Code 22 A headscratcher.

So I'm getting code 22. Water temp sensor (according to alldata) apparently. The car has a cold start problem. CSI, despite the fact it works(tested), does not get the signal to work when it should. The water temp sensor seems to work. It was changed (as the prev. one was kaput). Help...

Cold Start injector problem. Power drain too.

So my cold start injector is not doing it's job. My mechanic used a doo-hickey to cycle it so that works. Also, the hose is not clogged. It is most definitely connected. When trying to start, you can feel it does nothing. Therefore, cold starting takes AGES. I'm assuming this means it's...

    Cold start and battery problem

Any advice appreciated. Well, my 89 turbo has a serious cold start problem. It takes roughly 15 minutes to get it started. Which I assume means it's got heated up enough for it to work without the CSI? Now up until yesterday the CSI wasn't connected (recently got this car, air intake was...

Count Knobula. A new MK3 owner.

Hello. I'm a brand new (to me) Supra owner. I have an 89 turbo targa. I was hoping to find a place like this to discuss my car and look for help as it will be an ongoing project. The car came from a garage who bought it at auction. Before that it had a couple of owners and it's clear at...
