I picked up an old turbonetics for $20 and restored it. It just sounds like any other valve design, the non rice woosh, no whistle.
I installed it on my lower IC pipe with the vent facing the ground thru a hole in the lower wind deflector panel. 100% not visible and very quiet in the car...
I don't trust BL anything. I ordered their oil line kit for $200, and it was just summit racing oil lines (with summit printing still on the fittings) that retail at around $80 for everything they sold me. I sent it back of course.
they both have two totally different power bands, so no you really can't compare them. The only thing a 1JZ compares to is a RB25, they are both the same bore/stroke.
Remove all front covers.
Remove the crank pulley.
Remove timing belt.
Remove waterpump front and rear sections
Install 2jzgte water pump front and rear.
Put everything else back on correctly.
I'll sell you a stock 2jzgte waterpump pulley for $28 shipped.
Or the guy that thinks if you go over 14psi you blow your turbos.
The guy that thinks you need 440cc injectors to run 14psi
Or the guy that thinks a Aristo 2jzgte Map sensor on a 1JZGTE is a performance adder (really hurts performance)
Or the guy that uses his SAFC2 to defeat the boost...
