Im telling you the cobra brakes are night and day difference. They stop incredibly smooth and multiple times without change. Dollar for dollar best thing i have done to my car.
Pads will only make a difference untill you overheat the rotor. Pads cannot change how much heat the rotor can handle...
Let me know where you found cobra calipers for 40-80 bucks. You wont find them cheaper then about $225 for the pair. There expensive, Even used, I looked when i did mine. Ended up going new from a parts store my buddy hooks me up at.
Just checked theres a pair on ebay for 65, dont think they...
Just front, for regular parts your looking 600-800 range. as i said before though, its VERY much worth the cost. The only thing i have noticed is the EBC red pads im using all around like some heat before there grabby. After driving a few miles to let them warm up the car stops in a hurry.
The uppers aren't the problem. The lower arms are the ones that are the huge PITA.
Yea I'm hoping the bolt holding the one arm I gotta get off isn't completely rusted.
Only bushings with the lip are the front LCA's
Beware that the spherical bushing that can rotate in the knuckle that goes to the boxed link is not replaced with a poly bushing, but instead of 40 dollar each dealer stock bushing.
Tsrm says to go 1-4 in order. I found this order to work. Kind of against logic but its something else to try that's free, its the sequence my standalone uses to control my idle.
When wiring my standalone to the valve i found the sequence that power needs to be applied to make the valve open and close. Ill find and post it.
Found it, It was on the EMS 8860 Tech forum.
Power The center "B" terminals with constant 12V
To open/close the valve you need to power the coils...
Ive been doing this for the past three weeks. I had to cut out all four camber bolts in the front end and two camber bolts in the rear.
This has been the worst job i have done on any vehicle ever.
I still have not gotten one arm out. The trailing arm on the driverside. The one that runs front...
:biglaugh: You numbers are still very impressive, if i could get into the high teens maybe low 20's id be quite happy.
Though my 93 corolla gets 31-33 every tank. I love that car.
