It's good to find a Supra that has been taken care of,you don't have to deal with problems from other people! Just be sure that everything is okay engine wise,(replaced hoses etc...) and you'll have many years of fun!

sounds like the sensor to me. over the years ,depending on how it was maintained,gook will develop in the bottle. remove it and clean it! worst case,you might have to replace the entire bottle if you can't change the sensor. i used to have one from a celica,i think that fit right in the stock...

plus its a BMW.those dam german parts can be expensive.
