Sounds like your doing like 5000rpms... If 15psi is your boost cut, thats about right.
I rev out to 7k and trust me, you know you're revving high. Get an FCD.
The PR's love em. They drop bridgeported rotarys in them here in Orlando and run 10sec 1/4mi times... if it runs the whole way down. 99% of the time they all blow up and we wait 60mins for track clean up.
It's probably the 20R, 22R was never sold in that body here.
I was going to buy something like this for my car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vibrant-Ultra-Quiet-Resonator-3-Center-Inlet-Outlet_W0QQitemZ120127364009QQihZ002QQcategoryZ33636QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
Yeah, alot of that driveshaft info crossed to the SC300's also. Getting a Soarer R154 driveshaft is impossible, and they are $1200 new. People have said a MK3 R154 front on a SC300 rear worked with the R154, but in fact, it doesn't, it's 1in short also.
Another cheap choice which...
if you have to use an oil line feed adapter for your turbo (meaning, a bolt on flange not a screw in deal), do not use the o-ring ones. It will leak. Use a good quality gasket.
the only way I'd have a custom harness made was for a show car where I wanted it hidden, or a CUSTOM swap.
My buddy had a custom harness made for his 2UZFE-TT into a MKIV using a stand alone, thats a case where i'd say it's needed.
Buy the flanges and make the oil lines yourself, you'll save $100.
Every manifold is different, and the chances of buying a premade kit that will properly fit you're manifold is highly unlikely.
I ordered a boost logic oil line kit for my car ($200), when i got it, it was just summit...
I had my harness extented by a professional hot rod car electrican that makes harnesses as his job. When it comes to electrical things that important, yeah sure I can do it myself, but 2 years down the road, I want to know it will still work.
As you get older and work 50+hrs a week, have a home to take care of, etc....it's just alot more cost effective to pay $900 and have one in a week thats ready to go rather then spending 20hrs of labor, 1hr a night, and having the car down for that much longer.
I don't think any other way of it. The 1jzgte has been around since the early 90s and people have been making over 600whp with them with ease. I highly doubt now in 2007 a major faw has been discovered that no one else has a problem with.
If you don't know how to make a harness, and have a background in electrical, i wouldn't make one. One bad connection will either make the car not run, or you'll blow it up
