When I had my 91 N/A 5 speed I was running 16.2s consistently all night. All I had done was intake and exhaust. I thought that was slow but after seeing that someone was running 17s makes me feel better.
I have a 7M-GET and I just blew my headgasket. I don't want to throw another OEM one on it because I'll probably blow it again. I have ARP Head Studs. The head is brand new 15,000 miles ago. Its not warped so I won't be having it shaved. The block surface is still in really good shape the engine...
It was just a stock paperone on it. I didn't touch the headgasket because the guy i bought the engine from told me the head was replaced 15000 miles ago so i left it alone and just removed one bolt at a time and replaced it with a stud. if it was still running good by next sunday i would've...
So guys I'm pissed. I just got my 7M-GET running less than 2 weeks ago and I blew the head gasket on it on my way up to my cottage on Friday. Luckily it happened right around my cottage. I'm pissed because I have ARP Head Studs and I'm running stock wastegate pressure but I'm still pulling about...
Theres a grommet that supposed to seal up the hole where the throttle cable goes through but my car doesn't have a grommet and that like right behind where it ruptured so I'm just assuming the pressure shot it in through that hole. I'm not an idiot.
It was the 90 right behind the head on the passenger side. Now I'm having more problems my car doesn't seem as fast as it should. I know my BOV leaks because I disconnected it and plugged the vacuum line and it pulls harder than with it connected but its still not normal it kind of chugs under...
this morning i started topping of my coolant from it draining out of that hose and it started pouring out of that 90 degree hose so i took it off and there was like a two inch rip in it. good as new now.
I don't think its from the 90 hose because that ones pretty visisble and it doesn't look like its that one. It looks like its coming from like dead center behind the head. The also thats about where the hole in the firewall is for the speedo cable is it not? And the grommet for that hole is...
so guys i got my supra up and running yesterday and today i gave my buddy a ride and all of a sudden my throttle foot felt like it got burnt and i looked down and i had coolant pour on it. So I opened hte hood and its definately coming from behind the head but i can't see back far enough to know...
Yeah dude, I should be getting my engine in today and if I'm ambitious run ning tonight too. Otherwise running tomorrow. Then I'll be at the next AutoX in Shawano on Sept 12th I believe.
those two pin wires hanging down are probably for your vsv's. your knock sensor plugs like you said should be single wire and they are a green plug. you can tell which one is the knock sensor plugs by looking at the wire going to it. They're about a 16 gauge clear wire with copper strands...
I thought that was you that thing is 99.9% SEX! except for the little spots of cancer on the rear wheel wells, other than that I love it. I was supposed to have mine out there but driftmotion kept fuckin up my shipping. I don't know if you saw me but I went and checked out your car at the end of...
With how fucked up that thing is the frame will most likely have to be pulled. If you have a shop fix it you're probably looking at a few grand. If you do it yourself i would think you could get it all fixed for under a grand. Depending on if you get junkyard core supports and what not. Of...
