preface <i don't claim to, or know too much about engine control systems>
i was looking at that emanage ultimate system and it said in the advertisement that you can remove the factory air metering system. does that mean that it is just replaced with a maf system? if possible please...
making thread to keep track of all my crap. right now i'm just working on polishing stuff while motor is at the machine shop

i figured since the valve covers looked good after grinding off the ridges and polishing, i would do the same to the turbo. i ground off all the lettering on the turbo and polished it too. this turned out very nice imho
found a pretty big single side fmic, but don't know if it's too big:
Core Size 24"X12"X3"
Overall Size 31"x12"x3"
3" Inlet & Outlet One Side, 3" Core
not sure how much room is in there, but 31 may be too wide?
was looking at this:

i posted this question in the general section with no answer...
if i get a good set of clevites, should i send them off to be coated with dfl, or since these are a higher quality bearing, not mess with them?
near the back of the motor you will see a hose sticking out towards the left. it looks like someone cut it off from something, then used a mig to try and weld it up. it has to do with the cooling system coming off the block, but what does it hook up to on the car? it was like this when we...
so this dumby that i bought the car from, i guess never got curious why the car was burning oil and didn't smoke at all. i am in the process of tearing it down getting everythign to the machine shop, when i noticed the plug wire in the back wasn't seated properly. pulled it out and viola a...
pulling the motor right now and my friend needs the hoist as soon as we're done with it, but got a small issue. i didn't think to pick up any bolts for the engine to mount to the engine stand. does anyone have the specs of what bolts will work for that so i can run out and pick some up...
