I have purchased the new poly bushings from marlin crawler, and im having trouble removing the two posts that engage the shifter ball. How can you get these out? I have tried pliers and a hammer and the wont budge... I have to move them so i can get the lower bushing in.
The conductive plate in the battery its self probably just broke. Youll need someone to hold it in place while you start the car. Once its running the alternator will keep it all running.
My solution.

I can build you some adapters to put 6.5" speakers in the doors for a small price, and i would really recommend going with a decent component speaker setup with a small amp to power them. For those who have stated that you can get...
Question.... How come no body has fabbed up a completely custom FFIM? I mean from the head up? Everyone seems to just take the stock runners, and weld up a new intake plenum to it. Wouldn't you see even bigger gains if you made the runners slightly larger, and longer?
Or maybe just porting the...
Paint on sound deadening for the door panels... In all honesty i qusetion how well this stuff works. I think if you were to layer it on like three layers thick it would be worth it, otherwise i feel like i wasted $50 on the stuff. But hey, i paid for it, so im going to use it every where i can...
Ahh nice to see another audiophile that knows his stuff! Audison is amazing! I love this little amp. I plan to buy 2 more of these amps when i go active and convert my passive 2-ways to active 3-ways... i amp for lows, one for mids and one for tweets, plus i need a nice sound processor... This...
Damn man you work way too quick! Im lucky if i could do all that in 2 months... But i have to buy tools as well as parts for all this. I want/need an air compressor and air tools before i can start all this work... I want a sand blaster to clean the parts before repainting them too...
Anyways...
I have a similar problem... Opposite though. I have coolant leaking into my oil. I have a leaking head gasket and im rebuilding my 1J. I will be using a 2jz block though, it just seems dumb not to...
Sorry to hear of the troubles!
Where can i get a new waterneck and proper tubing to make the 1.5jz fit? I hear i need a 2jz water neck and some bypass??? Any one know the specifics about this?
Wow man looks great. I have been convinced to go 1.5jz as well. I have already started to order a few small parts for th build, but nothing major yet. Maybe ill give you a call tomorrow if i get a chance to talk about parts and how we can meet up for the block and heads to be rebuilt. You really...
Ill buy one! Just be sure to use a clear plastic that can withstand chemical deterioration well. Any oil, brake fluid, tranny, or steering fluid can ruin many types of plastic. So be sure to pick a plastic that can withstand the heat and chemicals it will/may be exposed to.
Ok, so if i do go the route of the 2j bottom end, what else do i need besides the block, crank, rods and pistons? Does the r154 1jz bell housing bolt right up? Or do i need a different one? 2jz flywheel? Clutch? What about engine management? If there is ANYTHING else at all i would need for the...
Surely a pre-built long block would cost just as much if not more than if i were to rebuild it myself? I dont see the point... If your suggesting for me to buy a used block, and swap it in, whats to say that its in better shape than my current one?
Plus i think it would be smart to go ahead...
Well ive got a blown head gasket and leaking rear main seal. The previous owner was an 18yr high school kid that lost his license for evading police... He drove this car like he stole every chance he got...
There is radiator fluid leaking into the oil. Plus you can see fresh standing oil on...
