Dont know if this helps but i left my stocker in my fuel tank from my 7M-GTE and it had no problem with the 1J i swapped in my car but i did not have any power adders just stock 1J and a 3" exhaust

Best fan i have seen with the 1J and does not eat up too much room is the hydro fan Don't know if there is enough room in the S14 bay for the pump but it is a great setup. if you can't though Make sure what ever fan you pick it has a high static pressure and put it as a pull with a fan shroud
