RazoE do you think its really necessary to use hood pins? Also did you drill and do the install yourself? Also has your hood cracked around the area where you have them installed?

Hey guys I recently installed my CF hood and I was wondering how many of you guys are using a CF hood and are you using hood pins, if so what brand? Also if you guys could post pictures of what your cars look like with their CF hoods that would be great as well.

It seems the general consensus is some people would rather not spend $30 or so bucks to buy hood shocks, maybe the government should subsidize hood shocks for MKIII owners :P

Let me tell you I finally installed my CF hood from VIS racing and I left the shocks on and it was making my hood bow when closed. I decided to leave them installed and would only connect them when I was going to work on the car or have to leave the hood propped open. I'm going to see if I can...

This puzzles me, I have hood struts to hold my hood open and I see tons of these nice looking MKIII's on the internet with their hoods popped, hard parked and the stupid stick holding the hood open. I know there not dirt cheap but seriously? Am I in the wrong here? lol

Aren't our cars GT cars? I don't daily or track my car but I love having my 70lb seat that is comfortable and I like having my interior with working A/C. My plans are to get lots of HP and Torques and let the engine take care of that weight stuff.

replace the turbo encabulator as well, its very important. use an oem one from the dealer, will last longer
