It's a great car all around. It drives well on twistys, and on the highway. As stated before it is a high maintenance car, so it can bite you for little things. It is highly recomended that you purchase one as a second car especially if you intend to do any modifications. You will note most...
That may be the part number for the banjo bolt washers.

If you don't want to drive to the dealer.
Its not too bad. You must unhook the downpipe, air inlet tube, turbo heat shield, support brace, Unbolt the turbo feed line banjo bolt from the block, remove the 2 nuts from the return line to the block, unhook the 2 little coolant lines to the turbo, unbolt turbo from the manifold, remove...
driftmotion sells a softline kit for the ct26. Its easier if you remove the turbo and attach the lines off the car, that way you can make sure it has a clean surface for the new gaskets.
The vent side hooks in, and 2 clips, one on the left and one about center. Broke my first one prying on the vent side lol. Small flat head is all you need. If you fab up something you may get some people asking for one!
Depends on the size of the units and if your any good with a cutoff wheel/dremel tool. I installed my HKS turbo timer and a few switches there at one time. Cutting the vent trim panel is not fun, measurements and angles make it tricky.
The beauty of a 1jz in a 240sx: for Left hand drive the exhaust is away from the steering shaft and Brake Master Cylinder so less clearance/heat issues.
Good luck with the swap. I have done some research into this swap for my 240 as well. I know you have to reroute the fuel lines, and its...
$120 is cheeper than a set of tires! I got over 30K on my 280 treadwear tires before they got below 50%.
Another possibility is your car may have been hit in the past and is no longer true. A good Alignment shop can inform you of this as well.
Could be leaking into the combustion chamber, or it could be something else. Compression and leakdown test will help you confirm.
Motor comes out and goes back in relativly easy. Me and a bud can pull a supra motor in a few hours, but we have done this a few times...
I miss my first supra at times, but I don't want it back. Odd thing is, my current supra is cleaner, with all the factory options, and is well modded. Yet I don't have any feelings for it.
Don't forget the joy of cleaning all the black crap off the back of your car every week. If you want flow get a high flow cat, keeps your bumper clean.
A new head gasket replacement is few hundred bucks, a motor is over a grand, your call.
Can't say I would trust any "mechanic" who would say its fine to drive on a blown head gasket. That shows a either a lack of knowledge or hopes of getting payed for a motor swap. Both negate my use of...
If it dies due to lack of oil, you won't be opening it up and fixing it. It may be cheeper to fix it now than the future drop and swap. Could just be a gasket.
