Well a little update for ppl... got my ac diagnosed and an estimate done... the gasket between the plate on top of the compressor and the gaskets to the two tubes are leaking. To fix it (apparently the only way to get a new gasket is to get a new cover where the two pipes go in) will cost me 790...

You think so? as for the timing belt... since the engine swap, never. And tbh, I was such a noob when I got the engine I doubt I would have even known what the timing belt was (ok I exaggerate a little, but you get my point). I wonder what could cause all my belts to suddenly start coming...

OMFG... please tell me that high humidity destroys my old belts because I'm seeing all my other belts starting to disintegrate... this is definitely NOT something I can fix myself.. I think I may have to go back to toyota and get em all replaced including the timing belt... wonder how much...

Found out my coolant leak was not the BVSV... duh.... it's coming from between the thermostat housing and the other piece... *sigh

Ok... I discovered that the A/C belt is frayed... causing hellish squealing at start-up... uploading pics now, can overtightening of the top pulley cause this?... and I got my new steering rack Since I don't have the tools right now I think I may have to drive to toyota asap and have them...

Good luck with the tranny, I need to do the same... I'm getting one rebuilt with new seals etc and putting it in and taking my old one and saving it for a performance rebuild in the future (auto... btw). LoL can I come over to ur work?? jpjp

Hmm thanks for the info!! So I don't think it's rod knock since I can't hear it except during said occasions... and I got me a surefire tactical light... should be bright enough :evil2:... but it might not have been tight enough... I didn't have a torque wrench so I had to go by feel... *sigh I...

OH god... one question with rod knock you should be able to hear it even in idle right? or if the engine is revved while in park?? I will have a vid tomorrow... shouldn't be the fuel damper I just had a new one put in because the old one was leaking... AGH!!! *tears hair

not sure I can only hear it with my window down and if im driving in a quiet place or a closed in place where the sound echos back to me... def not the cable since I just replaced that... unless its coming from where it meets the tranny, but shouldnt I notice the needle jumping?... also I doubt...

thanks guys, but uhoh, new funny noise, its a rapid clicking during slight acceleration from a stop or really slow speed... and the clicking is in time with the acceleration

OMFG... that"s freaking sweet!! I wanna do the same to my car... are you gonna stiffen the subframe as well?? Not sure how it's done but I know driftmotion sells some subframe bushings and I also read somewhere that some strategic welding helps as well...

Well according to that first link, there are no turbo's without LSD, so guess that means I have one. As for diff noise, tbh I have no idea what it sounds like, and if I've heard it before I most likely did not know what I was hearing. Of course I will be paying attention to that now, but again...

oh my... ummm... well the bad news is, I think we just put in straight LSD... er h/o lemmee check before I do however, pics as promised (New account lmao) I revved again... up to around 7k and found the coolant spray again... wtf i can't believe the thread sealant I just put on the BVSV would...
