Nice machine indeed!!!
I have an identical one in a different color.
Also I bet that you & Jeff Lange are good friends! He goes on about his Corolla all the time...he told me about it yesterday, today too, & probably will tomorrow...
Nope, I don't believe it would be here in SM...if that is what you are talking about.
Over at SF, because it is owned my companies, you not supposed to mention competitors.
Is it just me? or did anyone else think that the rims looks more like 16 inchers?
I have noticed that rims with short spokes look shorter overall. Some rim designs have the spokes going all the way up to the edges; others don't. The ones that attach to the center rather than the edge look...
I imagine it takes owning a manufacturing company. You would have to make the mold & pour in the molten metal etc. It does not sound like an easy operation to me.
Pros would be that it is lighter. A 7M block weighs about 130 lbs without its guts. How much lighter would it be to deal with...
^&^^ that would be awesome :x:
I would love to get my "hands" on the EPC MKIII Supra(NATO) which is within it.
The EPC is very helpful when rebuilding complex things!
Got my eyes peeled for this one :icon_wink
When I downloaded my manual (a year ago from another site of coarse) it took me at least 5 hours to get all 28 chapters.
Just to see how long this one would take to download, I started to download the biggest file (1990 TSRM) for 5 seconds just to see the speed characteristics & then canceled...
Is this what you are talking about?
http://www.bicperformance.com/body.htm
It belongs to one of our members (BecauseIcan)
It is cool to see something different like that.
I agree with that.
I cant believe how well it fits though!!!! I thought that Camaros were wider. My neighbor has a Z28 & his car seems so much wider than mine!?!
Slightly off topic
I just read a thread in SF a week or two ago stating that you can put on an 89-92 lip on an 86-88 bumper...
It comes down to a matter of preference I guess. I used the pump as turboa7mgte mentioned about four times so far. You have to be there under the car and pump that thing for like...was it two minutes. Being in that position & doing like what seemed to be 150+ reps (pumps) can be tiring. But...
Well, the body is the most expensive to fix without a doubt. Make sure it is not rusted in the rear shock towers, spare tire area, rear quarter panels, & rear wheel wells.
Next, the motor...your are rebuilding it anyways.
The transmission is supposed to be pretty durable on these turbo...
All depends on what you are looking for & how you plan on using the car. I use my car as a personal luxury auto. Different systems have different advantages. What may be best for one may not be the best for another. I just posted on the muffler thread but I discussed my whole exhaust as...
I have had the TSRM (in PDF) before I even discovered the forums.
Without it I would never have even thought of doing all the things I am (too much to list).
The 28 sections of the TSRM I have amount to 126MB or 132,137,462 bytes, so that is probably what is being talked about here...
I just know I like my set up; you probably won't :P
I have both cats, then custom piping that is welded to a glass pack muffler, then exits to a pipe & a dual tip.
I love the sound of my car. It sounds deep & mellow. I guess my cats absorb all the sound because without a resonator or...
I once heard (don't know how accurate or where I heard it from) that if you get an electrical shock when you exit the car it is because there is a short somewhere. I get shocked all the time when I leave the Corolla.
As far as do I leave the car running, I had to only twice when I was...
I personally would not replace the 5 spokes that came in that year.
To me, that was a bad move IMO.
It's not a targa, & not a 5spd...I am not loving it.
As far as selling with a reserve, I shy away from those auctions. I don't know why people don't just start at their lowest acceptable...
WOW, You even got the bumper lip & chrome valve cover gaskets.
I knew that your car was going to be fast, but I did not know you were going for show also...especially in the engine.
You're going to have quite an all around car indeed.
I also just want to remind you that you did say, "I might...
