Well I spun it once more(3 revolutions) and this is what happened...
Crank pulley is at 0
intake cam is at TDC
Exhaust is 1 tooth off too the left..
Is this okay?
I was planning on dropping my motor in tomorrow...having issues already...
First, I searched...
This is the first time ive ever done a timing belt.
I followed the TSRM step by step.
So... I installed the new timing belt, making sure all marks matched up, then installed the tensioner...
It was my first time doing a timing belt... I messed up though after turning 2 revolutions the mark on the crank pulley was way off... I guess I will try again tomorrow... but this deff puts the possibility of not installing the motor tomorrow as my time is limited..
Here are a few updates...if all goes well I will drop it in tomorrow..
New Izusu timing belt installed.
Powdercoated valve covers(the 2500 is metallic silver and the twin turbo is a darker red than pictured)
y-pipe installed... You can see the BIC mounts too.
Supra lookin sad waiting on...
Well much to my relief I figured out a decent way to wetsand and make it look good...this is a before and after of nothing to 1000 grit wetsand... still need to do 1500 and 2000. this is gonna take forever, haha
Well Im a little disappointed right now in how it turned out... the engine bay came out way better, lol..
First... there are some flat spot where I didnt spray wet enough...
And there is some orange peel.. not much...
After wetsanding with 1000,1500,2000 it looks "okay". (not pictured)...
