I'll have to look at mine. I have that EXACT setup on my car and it bolted up perfect. It fit beautifully and we didn't have to make any adjustments. You want me to take pics of anything?
I'm looking at what appears to be my only two choices for front and rear sway bars: The Tanabe Sustec or the Suspension Technique sways.
Anyone have experience with either one? The Tanabe's are quite a bit more at roughly $400 versus the ST's $250. I'm looking at the price on HPF's site...
No it doesn't. It's quiet at idle and in the low RPM's. Doesn't drone at all. It's great when cruising. I'll see if I can't get a camera that has good video and I'll record some sounds of it. Won't be till this weekend.
I have the Tanabe system. It's a real Jeckyll and Hyde system IMO. It's quiet (close to stock I'd say) at idle and when you really punch it, it screams. It's not make your ears bleed loud, it just has a nice growl and let's people know you mean business.
Oddly enough, I passed my emissions test yesterday with flying colors. Even got a compliment from the guy who worked there on how the numbers turned out. My question to you is: where can I get another canister? I threw mine out, but seeing as how there's no gain, I might as well put it back...
Would the 5zigen's that Driftmotion has on their site be overkill? I'm guessing that the 17x10" rim is for the rear and the 17x9" is for the front. I'm looking for show to match some go with my Turbo. Does anyone on here have these rims? I'm thinking a red '89 turbo with dark tinted windows...
Yeah MAtte black is what I want, but I can' seem to find them. On 5Zigen's site they list the wheel in only one size: 17x10 and it says "Supra Rear" and it doesn't list Matte Black as being available. Who sells 5Zigen's online?
Probably going to get flamed for this, BUT:
Will a 17.7.5 wheel with a +41 offset fit well on the MKIII? Is 7.5 too narrow? Reason I ask is, I found some wheels that I really like (unless you can find me a 5 Zigen FN10R-C in black for the Supra) and this is the only size I can find.
Then...
Okay, I have been pouring way too much time into researching what route is best for addressing the head gasket on my Turbo. I'm now to the point where I'm just confused as hell. So I'd like your guys' advice on what work needs to be done and what gasket to use. Here are the specs on the car...
My advice is just to be smooth as possible. Balls to the wall, pedal to the floor isn't going to get you a good time on your run. Be smooth and in control. My other piece of advice is to gradually decrease your time on the runs. We usually get an average of six runs in at our local Auto-X...
Anyone have their cars lowered on the stock ('91-92) 5-star wheels? If so, could you post up some pictures? I want to see if it looks lame or not. :icon_bigg
Okay so I read this since my car is about to go under knife to get the HG tended to. And after reading this, am I correct in saying that I can simply purchase an OEM head gasket from Toyota and install it with some ARP head bolts at 85lbs and be done with it? Surely, it can't be THAT simple...
