Almost every local turbo car owner around here isnt running a bov. almost all the drifters since they get better throttle response and even GT35R subarus arnt running one. Had a guy telling me tonight that high hp tuners dont run bov's on theyr setups due to hickups and going rich between shifts...
Been looking around at different options for a air/fuel and egt setup. From AEM Uego and AEM EGT (2 separate units) and the zietronic ZT-2 with ZR-1 package (http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-zt-2withzr-1combo.php)
The AEM is the most expensive package but I need compatibility with a...
Just in the process of putting the 7m back together and for some really wierd reason I cant find where to put this plate with the letter M stamped on it. I dont know if its just late and my eyes are screwing with me or im straight blind..?
Its obvious its on the outside of the engine due to...
Anyone know if a BIC DDP will bolt up to a boss, jt or sp61 turbo? Id imagine the wastegate could have a problem with hitting the divider in the elbow.
I have no problem modifying the DP to make it work or is this even possible to do?
Has anyone ever cut out the fender lip on the rear quarters instead of rolling them? Ive seen this done on a few different cars as an option to just rolling.
Im in the process of removing some minor rust on the fender lips and re-undercoating the wheelwells. The only thing is, I dont think I...
I was looking previously into going with maft-pro for a tuning device but found it to be short coming of abilities since being piggy back. I want more then what any of the piggy back systems can offer. After some pondering, standalone has come to the table. Now heres where the choices start...
Well I have this problem with wanting to assemble my 7m and put it into my car.. buttt.. The toyota crank and rod bearings have been put on backorder till june 24th! :aigo:
They have gotten in 6 of the crank bearings (1 still on backorder) and they have 3 of the rod bearings (3 still on...
Found these in my performance files from a while back. Some very good information in these, mostly for db ratings. Only thing is the testing was done on a mustang with more then likely a 2.5" exhaust. Thought might help out others with muffler choices.
Ive searched around but have come up with any info on shimming oil pumps on 7mgte's. Is this a worth while mod to do and what all is involved in doing it? My crank bearings are to arrive on friday so id like to figure it out before then. Any info or pointers on this would be great.
Thanks,
Chris
Edit: Found a couple pictures and another video :)
After many crash's, bash's, smash's, jumps and burnouts it still lives on :)
Too bad this is the only video I have of the beatings..

The lady I purchased my car from dropped this off the other day (thought I might want it). Ive never seen or knew toyota made one of these before
Was I just a blind to never see this before? One of these could be pretty handy...
Ive been searching around and havent come across any stock replacement vavles... Maybe im looking in the wrong place or something idk. I need a full set for the exhaust side. The current ones in my portorted cyl head have slight pitting on them and I dont not want to have to go through a valve...
My basic goal was on this port job was to make the head more free flowing but still retain as much of the stock port overall width as I could to prevent increased lag. Intake side was made slightly larger and made MUCH more free flowing (comparing to stock) then retextured with 60 grit paper...
Started new thread since all the pictures are now broken :(

Ive been looking through the TSRM and there is 5 different size rod and main bearings toyota offers for the 7m-gte. Im rebuilding my motor here next weekend and im trying to decided wether to go oem or with clevit bearings.. Im rather picky when in comes to proper clearance and I dont mind...
This spring im going to be hitting up the drag strip once again in my 87 turbo. Its a local track and its only a 1/8th mile long. Im curious on if using an NA lsd would help me shave some time off runs? Going from 3.73 to 4.30 (correct me if im wrong) would be a substantial drop in gearing thats...

Ive been searching around trying to find the pros and cons of removing the EGR system from the 7MGTE but I have had no luck so far in finding any info on it. I dont want to go ahead and add this mod to my list, just incase theres something I should have to look out for or worry about.
Thanks...
