No it won't cause low compression but it will rule out other possibilities like bad rings. When I have a problem that I'm not sure of what the source is, I eliminate every other possibility to narrow things down before actions are taken. It's easy to do, cheap and will rule out other...

Have you done a compression test? If not, try that to see if you have good compression. You could have bad rings. You could also have bad valve stem seals as you mentioned. Compression test results would help to narrow that down some.

I've done a head gasket before, I was just wondeing if anyone knows of a cheaper gasket than HKS has that will do just fine on my 500 hp 1JZ. Also wher to buy such a head gasket.

What parts are compatable fom the 1JZ, 2JZ and 7M? I know it used to be on this forum but lost it in the transition that took place.

I have an HKS fan controller wired in to my 1JZ but not yet to my Fal electric fans. The instructions say to connect the last wire (grey) to the fan computer. I was not aware of any fan computer in the 1JZ or even the 7M. Please any help. Thanks. :wtf:
