It's not paint, it's powdercoat, and I disassembled the alternator to the bare housings to coat it. A little tedious, but the proper way to do it. Sure thing man, I'm getting really excited to have a fun car running again. Probably won't stop smiling for a few months after it's running.

It was pretty rare that I used the cruise control. Most of the time on long trips I'm driving with other Supras, so heaven knows there's no constant speed.

A measuring tape, sharpie and some luck, that's about it. Measure across the centerpoint of the cam gears and mark that on the edge of the timing cover backing plate or valve covers or something. Just give yourself a point of reference.

Quite easy actually. I got a hole saw set from harbor freight. The biggest saw in the set is the perfect size. I actually measured twice for the first time in my life and it turned out nice. The only thing I'd replace it with is the greddy clear cover.

Engines don't have oil on them because they run, they have oil on them because they leaked oil. I love having a motor that doesn't leak a drop, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

You'd probably have better results with the RS. I'm sure the MZ is aimed for cars running full slicks on the track. I can't imagine that the RS wouldn't be suitable for your needs.

I'll be fine. Good tires and brakes are worth far more than ABS in my book. 99% of the population just has no idea what it's like to drive a car near its limit or how to modulate a pedal. In a daily driver I'd never remove it.

They're Jun gears. I'm happy with the green, I've probably had too much mountain dew. The ABS system in the Mk3 sucks, IMO. It's a fair weather car only and will be seeing a fair amount of track time, so I just got rid of it. If it were a Mk4 I would've just relocated it as I like that...

Updates :) Did ABS delete with Cunifer brake line and fittings and a Summit prop. valve. Motor is in, just awaiting plumbing, wiring and bodywork.

They forget that the Mk3 was built on the same assembly line as the Sherman tank. Come to think of it, I've never seen a Mk3 that didn't get the better end of a collision.
