my NA or buy a turbo targa????

You should know by now how much surprises these mk3 have waiting in the dark. If you spent all ur time getting an NA to where u want it then keep it. On the other hand, a turbo targa is fun to drive with the top off, lots of power, lots of options as far as motor and turbo upgrades go. The down...

Is it worth it to part out?

I would only part out an mk3 if the body itself is not worth repairing example: rust, bad bodywork, was in a bad accident and pulled back into shape (which makes it weaker), but if you have a clean body, id keep it and put a MHG on that 7M with some new factory head bolts or ARPs. Clean mk3s are...

    Mk3 with stock 91 or 5zigen??

id go with the 5zigens, stock wheels are only 16x7, then again all depends on what ur going to do with the car, keep stock or upgrade motor etc? wider wheels gonna give you better grip on the road

Sad day - How bad is it?

wow, that car looks just like mine, hope i never run into anything like that, BUT consider if you was in a newer car of any brand, they might have had to cut you out of it! That supra is is pretty dang tough!

Simple Ebay parts, would you put it on your car?

Brand name parts have a lot of research behind their pricing, the muffler might be ok, but how long will it last before it burns out or rust a hole ? brand name ones are better material and perform better, you will find out on the highway at 2500 rpms if its a quiet ride or sound resonating and...

my 1jz vvti doesn't like high rpms?

i have a 1jz vvti on a 91 mk3 supra, its purely stock tho with stock turbo, injectors etc, from all my research, i have found that this motor will give the symptoms you are describing if the wrong spark plugs are used. You can try these plugs, NGK BKR6E gapped down to 0.8mm or denso PK20TR11...

that age old debate (swapping twins for single).. but with an asterisk.

grab a set of stock twins, many people unload them and go single while doing their swap, gonna be a bit of a pain to install, but for around $200 you cant go wrong with them given the situation

Stock boost guage work with 1jz?

stock boost guage works, but you will not get an accurate boost reading on it since the 1J will be around 12 psi stock, so ur guage will constantly be reading +8 lol, anyway its best to put in the voltmeter there and run an aftermarket guage on a pod or something for best results.

MA70 with lots of extras, whats a good price?

So while window shopping on craigslist, i came across someone selling an 88 hardtop turbo supra with a 5 speed 1J swap. I go to look at the car, and it looks like it has been recently painted maybe a year or less, has HKS hipermax II coilovers, HKS super dragger exhaust, HKS wastegate...

    7m or 1jz

your best bet is to go 1jz, for one, it increases the value of the car, you may not want to sell it now, but eventually u will consider it, when that time comes, the money spent putting a 7MGE or even a 7MGTE in the car will turn in poor value, depending on the condition of the car, you can...

Wiring the 2jz into the ma70 chassis

harness is not really similar to a 2j harness, i mean there is the basic wires for ignition, sensors and all, but to get the gauges to work will need some extra wiring. I had a shop wire up mine
