Good call on the flow thing MDCmotorsports. I don't know why I didn't think of that. So I know what I'm going to do when I get back to the states. Thanks guys!
At the moment I Have a GReddy type R with a standard spring. The car has not been on the road for a while and I've made many upgrades since. I purchased a stiff spring for it knowing I would be running much more boost than before. I still have some concers that still won't be enough for me since...
So if I were to go with two blow-off valves, should I put them side by side as close to the throttle body as I can? Or should I keep the one before the intercooler (on the hot side) and add the next one right in front of the throttle body?
We're talking about venting the hot air before the intercooler. He's saying he doesn't think it matters if that hot air is vented because the air that goes through the IC is still going to be the same temp before it goes in. Which makes sense to me.
I'll probably put it right in front of the throttle once I relocate my battery. That was my plan but couldn't fit it with the battery there. What do you guys think of a second BOV by the turbo before the Intercooler to get rid of the hot air?
Wikipedia knows all. Here is a lot of what you're looking for if not all the info you need. Good luck on the report!

What is more beneficial? Having one large fuel pump or having two smaller ones the same size? Where is a good place for the second fuel pump if I were to go with two? If a fuel pump is rated at 255 lph then that should be all it can do right? How does a second one with the same rating help pump...
Please don't make that mistake of wasting your money on a JDM 7M. I went through that already. Mine came with a blown head gasket and didn't find out till I got the thing in and running. It immediately started overheating. Afterwards I found out that a good amount of the JDM 7M's come over from...
I'd say go with the 1JZ. It's very durable and like mentioned before, it's revvy. You can do anything to this motor and it will keep going (from my experience). I don't think the 7M is worth building. I just can't stand them. I've had way more issues with 7M's then I have with my one 1JZ. If you...
One big thing you need to do is have your wiring harness extended once you get the motor and Ecu. The harness is not long enough for the american spec Supras. Plus you have to find someone to do that for you. Someone local would be best but if you can't find someone local, then you'll have to...
I've heard of a guy in Florida who has made over 1,300 hp to the wheels on stock internals. However, he was running alcohol. I'm sure this took lots of tryal and error but I think it's doable. A 1J bottom end might be the toughest to come out of Japan. Just like every other motor though, it has...
Cold air intakes have little to no effect on turbo cars. As soon as the air hits the turbo, it heats right up to the same temp either way. If you're worried about hot air look to the intercooling system for upgrades. I'm not trying to put you down. This is just what I've read out of a book...
