Well Im sure youre aware of the saying: you get what you pay for. Now, thats not always true of course, but when it comes to something that requires a great deal of precision... I would say spend the extra cash, you wont regret it.
I believe Driftmotions turbos are good quality, and there is...
Well it sounds like you have had numerous issues with these turbos... So I would reccomend going easy on these turbos for a while and gathering up some extra cash to get them a fresh rebuild (maybe even throw a bigger turbine in there :naughty: )
Just my thought
Wow, what a great thread.
Now, I'm glad that more attention has been brought up about Autozone. I actually work at Advance Auto, and was ready to jump on anyone bashing us. Not just because I work there or because of any competition issues, but because we actually try and help our customers...
You should have made more power than that....
Now, of course, I will have to say your turbo choice probably wasnt the best.. But those turbos have been good up to ~18psi which should have put you in the 400s without too much issue. The Stinger should have definetly helped you get there
Its pretty much luck of the draw. It all depends how they were treated.
As long as you treat them well by allowing them to warm up before seeing boost and using a turbo timer, they should last you a while.
My friend ran his at 20psi (370hp) for over a year... I will see how long mine last
Have to checked, double checked, and triple checked that all of the sensors are hooked up correctly? My friend had a similar issue all because he forgot to plug the crank sensor in...
Also, in your avatar it looks like you got a Soarer 1jz. What harness did you use?
Alright, so Im getting the feeling that its not too terribly important... Seeing as how I didnt have the VSV on my 7m.
Will it be fine if I just run the vaccum lines to it and not hook it up? (No clip)
Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has the specs for an SP63? I dont believe they make it anymore, and I can not find this info anywhere.
MDC, got anything?
Thanks,
-Adam
Hey guys,
I need help figuring out what sensor this is and what it does. I have 1jz out of a Soarer, so I put a Supra harness in. I cant find the plug for this sensor, but if its not a big deal I wont worry about it...
Here it is:
Located on the intake side. Under the manifold, right...
Although it has already been stated, I want to also say that it should be placed close to the TB.
As for the old set up, you can just have plates made and welded/bolted on the two spots. Thats what I did.
