Must be a local thing, I've yet to see or hear about a D series doing anything worth mentioning other then a nitrous backfire. I've seen people attempt modding them and defending them only to move to a B or K series months later because they could'nt get the power they wanted. 8valve throw back...
Wow, did'nt think I'd see as much response on this thread as I have. I'm going over some of the specifics/details with the seller and I could have the half cut on it's way early next week. The Turbo as does'nt share parts with the group a motors right? magnesium pan, cam gears and cams...
I found a turbo A half cut and the person selling it does'nt realize what it is. Any Idea what these would go for. He's asking 3k USD for a complete half cut thinking it's a modded 7mgte
I'm going to the bank tommorow.....
How many miles was that again? Sorry was it ten thousand or was it 10000.
Guy you say it how many times in this one thread. Your modifying a car, modified parts do not carry a warrenty like a new car warrenty. Non Coated SS lines are not DOT approved because of this, do some research before...
I've been having the same issues here but find doing a 1-3 shift pattern untill the cars warmed up helps alot. I don't like doing it but figure it's better then forcing the car into second gear. After a few km's it works fine.
MT90 is better then BG syncroshift? I've yet to change mine but...
I've done spray on engine degreaser then power washed with the car running and never had any issues on my other vehicles but recently I was rinsed come coolant off my supra engine and then it mis fired for a good 30 mins, figure it was water on a wire or around a plug. I never sprayed directly...
Alright, Thanks IJ, your response time is amazing :P
The crank itself still looks square and it's a new damper going on it now. I'm going to hit up a local engine shop hoping they have one.
Hello, Bit of a problem. I'm doing all the timing case seals and the key that fits in the crank and lines up the damper is messed up I think. I Can put the key in the crank and it's loose then I put the damper on and it can move maybe 2 teeth (can only judge on timing gear behind it). Is this...
I found the EPC after I posted, search I know I know....
But those part numbers seem way off. My front main seal is 90311-52003 where as the EPC listings stop at 8xxxx-xxxxx
Not sure if the epc listing was superceded or not
If I call in with the numbers from the EPC will they get it or...
Help!
I'm about to give up on buying from toyota without being right there looking at there parts screen. Is there a program or a leaked copy of theres that shows the parts and the part number (sorta like mitsu-CAPS).
I searched here and on google but did'nt see anything
Thanks

I've checked the TSRM and coud not locate anything to checking that. do you have a meathod to check it out? thanks
If nascar was anywhere near "stock" cars it would be worth watching. Tube chassis cars with literally no parts in common with a production vehicle that are essentially matched in preformance is a waste of race gas.
I'm getting the same condition on my car. It's winter here and I turbo Time the car (2:30). My thought was it was headgasket ceeping(sp?) coolant into one of the combustion chambers. Could be wrong but it may be worth checking out
Short answer the 3 prong hub can go on the 89+ stalk. I pm'd you back .
Sorry I'm trying my best to describe it clearly but I'm better at showing how then telling how:icon_conf
Might just be easier to trade...
I sorta did the reverse on mine I have a 89 and put a 87 control stalk on it then ended up using a 87 steering wheel. I then switched back to the 89 stalk as the 87 broke a lever. So I had to pin out the connections on both stalks and transfer the 3 prong cruise hub to the 4 prong stalk. The...
I've never seen a cam still in a engine with rust on the lobes, I'd pull it and get everything gone through by a good shop.
Just out or curiosity anyone know if you would be able to effectively polish that in car or would they for sure need to be pro ground and polished?
With the positioning of the stock ic piping if you remove the main heat shield your essentially cooking the rubber. If may be fine for a little while but A) your heating the ic piping/rubber and the air inside of it and B) you could end up ( in theory) blistering paint on the strut tower/hood...
Hello all, I recently purchased a 89 TT with 136km on it. The car sat for a number of years and when I inspected it the low coolant light was on and the temp gauge would go skyhigh as soon as the ignition was on (even on a cold motor/not running). I topped up the coolant in the rad and over flow...
Hello all, I've done many searches on a few forums but can't find the info I need. My HKS TT works as it should, but with the lights on it only turns them off and does'nt put them back down. is it possible to make htem go back down with the TT or is that beyond it's control?
Thanks in advance
