Does Toyota sell the cam cap bolts? Took the cams out and there were three that were generic hardware store bolts and one was stripped to hell and back. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4

7m revs up then stalls out

Dont spend money on a new one unless you know its bad. If you do want to test it check tsrm and there should be a way to test it. Sent from my Galaxy S4 using TapaTalk 4

    7m issues... (owners fault)....

Use a machinist straight edge and use feeler guages to measure the gap between the straight edge and the block. In a machine shop it tells us a rough estimate of how much we need to take off the deck. Sent from my Galaxy S4 using TapaTalk 4

Any kind of unmetered air is bad, it will cause a rough idle (happened to me when it didnt have a clamp and fell off)

    Dipstick popping out

If it is the rings it is slightly possible that they are fine just somehow the gaps lined up allowing the combustion gasses to pass by, although it still requires a teardown :-\ some autozones have leakdown guages tou can rent if you have a compressor. If so I can post a rundown on how to use it...

Do a leakdown test if the hoses don't show anything, make sure your not getting excessive blow by through the Rings.

Which arp head stud kit is better? Confused !!!

Not necessarily on a 7m but ive built a couple drag motors and always go with undercut studs from arp for the heads. Rod bolts I use carr (expensive little bastards) but they have a tensile strength of 1,000,000psi. Anywho definitely go with the undercuts, you wont regret it.
