Sorry about that. I should of read it more thoroughly. Just wanted to make sure it was useable, because theyre selling me one for $80 and the stock Denso pump is $140 at advance. Anyways, thanks for your answer.
I know the battery isn't dead because its the from my 3000gt. So tomorrow Im going to drop the tank and check the pump. If it doesnt run Ill change it.
Theres a guy selling me a walbro 341 pump. Can I use it on a completely stock motor? Im thinking I can because the fuel pump regulator will...
Yeah just thoughy it might also be a symptom. Ok back on track, I unscrewed the bolt facing down and it did not even drip. Its dry. Heres a pic of the bolt I unscrewed.
Ok will do that. My dad just got home and we tried starting it with starting fluid. It cranked and I gave it some gas. It revved but lost power when I kept accelerating. I noticed that it gave off some black smoke. What could cause that?
Not sure how much but enough to run down the back of fuel rail. I unsrewed it about four times. Once while trying to turn it on. I only noticed gas come out when I unscrewed it the first time. Im going to have to drop the tank either way and check the pump.
Also I was looking for a thread on...
Ok I unscrewed the banjo bolt and some gas came out. Could this be old gas from when it was parked? Im confused because if it had gas in the fuel rail it should crank unless the injectors arent good. What do you guys think?
BTW I checked the bolt in front of the big mushroom.
Yeah, made a mistake when I posted. I havent opened the banjo bolt, could someone point out which bolt it is. I checked at Advance and the fuel pump is $140.
Ok guys I went out today and kept going at it. I tried to see if the fuel pump would turn by connecting the B+ and F1 terminals, but no luck. So I went and bought some starting fluid. I sprayed some into the throttle body and crank it. It came on and then cut off. So I did it again and it came...
Hey guys I was looking over some pics and noticed a plug thats not connected but didnt see where it connects. Any one know what the plug is for and where it connects to?
Its the one by the yellow connection.
Checked the fuse and its good. Does anyone know what I should check to see if gas is being sent to the injectors? I want to make sure before I replace the fuel pump.
