I would run ONE or the OTHER. I would not try to have both running off a tee; although I've never tried that let alone even thought of it. The reason for having a bypass valve (considering you have a stock ECU) is to allow air to be routed back into the intake system (before the turbo) where...
Alright, so I canceled my dyno appointment with E Shift Performance in NJ yesterday. I'm going to at least get the 255lph Walbro FP installed as well as the 12v mod done before getting on the dyno.
Thing is, I'll have to find a shop back home in WNY now instead of E Shift Performance in NJ. I...
Ohh man, I'm already scheduled for a dyno run today at 1:30pm in NJ (currently in NYC visiting Family). Honestly, should I really cancel this dyno appointment today till after the fuel pump is installed?? Its just a quick dyno pull to see what neighborhood Hp I'm in....and honestly, if I see...
And Sidewinder.....your Supra dyno'd at 363whp on 19psi with a 57trim at the 2012 Undercover Performance Charity Supra meet; I was there and have the video to prove it, remember?? Lol And yet your 7M had well over 150+miles on it. AND....the transmission is an Auto, so those number with my R154...
So I ran the 1/8mile track two days ago and....my car is damn slow. I'm going to get my car dyno'd next week....I need to know how much power I'm making; honestly, for my setup/mods, I feel I should be faster than this.
First Run: Went decent, spun a bit, but okay
Second Run: MISS SECOND...
I saw a video on YouTube where a dude made 340whp with the Lexus/550 and a 57trim on 16psi; however, his 7M was fully rebuilt. I guess I shouldn't be comparing my 27yr old 7M to those numbers. Lol

I guess you guys would hate my exhaust. Lol, I have a Driftmotion catback exhaust and its nice and loud....just the way I like it! The midpipe has only a resonator; the midpipe is also designed for no cats. It does come with a silencer though....but its way too restrictive.
Update #2: I know this thread has gone dead for a while now but I just thought I'd let you guys know that I got my ct2657trim back from DM this past Wednesday. I sent it in two Mondays ago where it arrived that very next Wednesday. And a week later, they sent back a fully rebuilt ct2657trim...
But wouldn't you say that over time, the 5W-30 will thin out toward 20 whereas the 5w-40 will thin out toward 30 which is still proper lubrication for the engine?? This is why I like 5W-40; its the best of both worlds (startups and high temp/miles thinning out), right??
Ohh man....thank you!! I have been reading a few threads on these topics and I'm seeing you (your comments) all over the place and thought to myself....man, it would be good if jdub commented/gave advice on my thread; and here you've answered/helped in record time. Much appreciated man, thanks a...
What's going on guys. So I'm debating whether I should stick to Castrol Edge 5W-40 or step it up to a higher grade (Royal Purple) thicker 10W-40 for the summer in a week or two. My 7MGTE has 120,000+miles on it; I recently installed an Innovate MTX oil pressure gauge as well.
Idle: 10-13psi...
Update: I ordered RC Engineering 550cc Injectors last week, got them on Saturday, installed them and....I'm running as expected, finally, RICH!! I'm definitely making serious power however, my turbocharger blew its oil seals so....now I have to send it back out to DM and have it rebuilt. I spoke...
Alright, so I've come to a conclusion (possibly) that one of my injectors may not be firing correctly; as I can hear a miss-fire at idle. I took it to a shop; they tested and confirmed my fuel pressure is good as well as smoke tested the intake system (vacuum leaks). Yet....I'm still running...
Holy shiet...
Well, I'm going to try and do it today. Just ran to Advance Auto and got some wiring to practice soldering. I've never solder before and will need to wire up the fuel pump (also my oil Innovate MTX pressure gauge).
Any pointers/tips on the 12volt fuel mod??
What's going on guys. Alright, final exams are over and so far I got my fuel filter installed, fixed the fuel leak from the injectors and....I'M STILL RUNNING LEAN!! Tomorrow, I'm going to install my 255lph fuel pump. My fuel filter was clogged badly (as said by the mechanic) however, it didn't...
Dammit....I already drove for a 100+ miles last weekend on the first oil change. I'll change it the next time I get back in my Supra. Right now its leaking fuel from the injector o-rings (not driving it till fixed). Basically, these injectors are from an RX7 (550cc) and the seal that seats into...
And yet again....a BEAST has risen upon the land....people, ladies, gentlemen, my Supra is back online and running damn better than ever before!! I assure you....a savage has risen here today and when it is all said and done...."the people" will know my name....for it be, the true...
Thanks man, appreciate it.
Could I throw in conventional oil (cheapo oil) to flush it?? Otherwise, I'm just wasting money/good oil, like this Castrol Synthetic 5W-40 I was about to throw in.
