ur right about the type of vehicle not being the cause of the accident but in general people my age with civics, neons etc. are the ones that will be ripping around drifting or racing on streets that u should never go much over the spped limit on or racing n 2 lane roads with one car goin the...
for those of u who have yet to look into a MAFT pro system but are all saying ur gonna need an SAFC 2 and a boost controller, "all the trimmings" includes a boost control solenoid if u get the kit from HPF, also it gives u the ability to adjust the fuel map +/-60% at 12 rpm points in 3 load...
theres a reason that almost every one of those cars was a mustang or an import, cuz those are the retards that race, anyone who goes out on a regular basis knows the way it works, almost all real racing is don from a dig on a good strip by muscle cars and notice that there wasnt a single old...
I kno a guy that has a seet of MT radials on stock rims, i'm pretty sure they're 255's, if u wantto kno if they'll fit go to jegs look up the tire and go to more detail, it has spec wheel widths for all the different tires
and your gonna have to get an aftermarket intercooler and hardlines, the stock ones will blow out if you try boosting to 20psi and the intercooler has a 3psi pressure drop at 6.8psi so i'm pretty sure it wont flow enough for you to reach 500hp
i've noticed alot of big power guys tthat use piggy backs generally go for a vpc safc type combo, haven't seen a whole lot of setups with the MAFT pro, is there some reason for that or can u still make 500+ with the MAFT, also can u adjust spark timing with the maft pro
a map ecu is 650, a vpc is around 400-450 and i was planning on getting a safc or safr with it which would have been at least 300 more, the MAFT is probably the cheapest its around 600 with all the options includding a boost control soleniod
yea, i was just looking at the maft pro, looks like a really nice system, on HPF it said that on some car u can adjust spark timing, is that feature available on our cars?
because i dont have much money and i've been looking into a number of different tuning devices, vpc combos, MAFT and the MAP ECU trying to find one that will be suitable for my setup.
I've been looking into gettin a map ecu for my car, it looks like a good unit, takes the place of a vpc with finer tuning abilitys kind of lie a vapc safr combo. i was wondering if anyone is famaliar with t he unit, how big of injectors can u run on it and how much can u alter the factory fuel map
if u actually want to build your motor right dont buy CAST pistons from EBAY. people dont just say ebay sucks because of the price, the parts aren't worth the cheap price if the manufacture is still making money on them. if you want to make serious power go for a nice set of forged pistons. a...
JCF, to elaborate, as many people said, the use of the word choking isn't entirely true, i plan on going for the stage 3 cams when them come out but when i take my car off the road for the winter the motors coming out and getting clevite 77's, eagle rods, JE pistons, and a ferrea comp...
alright so the use of the word choking is a bit of an exageration but cams will make a big difference, talk to some ls-1 guys many of them have upgraded cams and the extra air flow creates big power gains for them on NA motors, the fact that our cars have a turbo to force more air into the...
