OKay background: Had MDC rebuild my turbo during my engine buildup. Engine has run a total of MAYBE 30 minutes, with turbo spooling MAYBE 1 minute. Pulled accordian hose, intake blades MANGLED. side to side and for to aft shaft play. (that was not there before) I had inspected full intake...

If they have two holes at each end and don't face the same direction I would definitely say they are tranny supports.

"good to go" were my words, not his. He's very reputable and professional. I on the other hand am a schmuck....But that's another story. Engine's idling around 1k now, and I'm trying to figure out a nasty banging somewhere in the top end.....sigh

Rebuild it. Price shop for bearings, seal kit, arp hardware, MHG, and a bunch of other things that you can save on. Everypenny counts. Don't spend where you don't have to. Know where you want this engine to go and what you need to get it there. Trust me this is something I'm just getting done...

My machinist say that I need a set of valve shims to rebuild my spare head. What does a set of twelve typically go for and what are the size ranges? Thanks
